My latest woodcarve out of basswood and treated with linseed oil mixed with burnt umber paint...not totally happy but I'm pleased with the beard depth of cuts and eyes, what do you think? Any criticism/advice accepted!

Proof of work baby! All salty sea dogs and all slightly different. Learnt a lot, with improvements made from piece to piece, some I'm happier with the legs, others I'm happier with the face. Unfortunately I can't smash them altogether to create the ultimate version! The lightest one still needs piling and sanding. What do you think? Which is your favourite? image
