Visiting my mother-in-law in Bangkok’s Chinatown. This neighborhood is one of my favorite places in the world. The small family run shops, temples, and exceptional street food make it such a unique and magical place. 🇹🇭

If you zap this post I’ll match every sat and donate everything to the sanctuary for the care and feeding of these rescued elephants. They eat 500kg of food per day and during the low season the sanctuary receives very little revenue.

I got 2/3 of my daily steps today on a trek through the jungle with this beautiful elephant. She is cared for by a local elephant sanctuary which provides for food and health. They in turn are supported by tourists with no contact elephant encounters. All of the elephants in their care were rescued from laboring in the timber industry. They are not caged or chained and live in the nearby forests with caretakers.
