Anyone watching the series Silo on Apple TV+? Three episodes in and still have no idea what this is about.

Hey #[1] this robot was our server at lunch today. It wasn’t much for conversation though. image

Walking around Portland today ☀️and meeting a good friend for lunch at a Burmese place I’ve never tried. I loved visiting Burma and one thing I miss about living in San Francisco is having easy access to good Burmese in the Richmond District. image

Although #[0] is often wrong, it seems to be trying to compensate for that by being insanely confident.

I remember a couple of months ago folks on here just going absolutely bonkers over badges for a few days and then nothing. What happened?

I see wabi sabi on nostr today and I like it. Nostr feels that way to me. When I built my house a few years ago we used Japanese yaki sugi to clad the house. It involved taking the cedar and charring each board by hand. It was laborious to do for thousands of pieces. There is no paint or stain and the result of this method that no two pieces of wood are same and none are perfectly uniform. This is a huge contrast to the perfect boring exteriors of McMansions in neighborhood nearby. Some love it and many hate it. Some of the wood that is more exposed to the elements already shows signs of aging. The wind, sun, rain, and snow transforms each piece differently. With time the patina will change as the wood chips and fades. The brilliant black is impermanent and it will gray just like I am graying. To me this is an example wabi sabi and the beauty of impermanence and imperfection. Nostr with its lack of edit function, inability to delete, and the resulting publishing of mistakes feels like another.

#[0] if there was a “don’t kill my vibe” feature for Nostr users, what would it do?

I do understand much more clearly now why #[0] has consistently said that blueksky is focused only on social and that Nostr can be used for many other things. Nostr can be part of just about anything.
