image It's a disheartening reality that politicians often seem immune to accountability for their poor decisions. Despite the consequences of their actions, they rarely face termination or legal repercussions. The political landscape is rife with examples of leaders evading responsibility for economic crises, foreign policy blunders, or ethical violations. This impunity erodes public trust, fostering cynicism and frustration. Accountability should be a cornerstone of any functioning group of people. There are two judicial systems today: one for those with power, and the rest of us. Filegate, 1996 Benghazi, 2012 Clinton Foundation, 2015 Private Email Server, 2015 Whether it be her support of NSA mass surveillance programs, her penchant to centrally plan the American economy through a morass of crony capitalists enabling job-killing policies, or the Clinton Foundation’s global pay-for-play scheme, Hillary has in many ways become the very establishment she used to dream of replacing. Some past notable figures who have been involved with the Clintons: Don Henry and Kevin Ives C. image "On January 24th, Apple Computer will introduce Macintosh. And you'll see why 1984 won't be like 1984." In 1997, with the slogan "Here's to the Crazy Ones," it celebrated rebels, innovators, and visionaries who challenged the status quo. The campaign featured notable figures like Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King Jr., and Steve Jobs himself, emphasizing Apple's commitment to creativity and nonconformity. An example of how one company that built itself on anti-Orwellian rhetoric and and "thinking differently" is now one of the most tightly controlled. Unlike open-source systems, Apple tightly controls its hardware and software ecosystems. This approach ensures a seamless and consistent user experience but limits customization and software development outside of Apple's guidelines. Centralization is evident in Apple's strict app store policies, which govern what can be installed on their devices. It is refreshing when people leave the Apple ecosystem, refusing to further comply with the "Apple tax" of expensive equipment, planned obsolescence, and a general feeling of not owning anything you purchase from stores. #foss #linux #grownostr #apple #surveillance #orwell #1984

image Was the United States ever debt free? For a brief 2 year period from 1835 to 1837 Andrew Jackson harbored a deep distrust of banks, most notably exemplified by his opposition to the Second Bank of the United States. Jackson viewed banks as tools of the wealthy elite, corrupting economic and political power. He believed they concentrated too much influence in the hands of a few. His belief led to the controversial removal of federal deposits from the Second Bank, ultimately culminating in its demise. Jackson's bank skepticism reflected his broader commitment to populism and a more decentralized economic system. His legacy includes the financial crisis of 1837, but also his enduring image as a champion of the "common man" against the perceived excesses of the financial elite. #endthefed #federalreserve #government #inflation #debt #bitcoin
