I’m happy to be spending a big chunk of my day helping make our neighborhood social happen. We have a little park area, and we’re getting together to have lunch and be neighborly. We have to strengthen our local communities, and that means building friendships. Building friendships means spending time together. Make time. Make friends. Make the world better.

🍊Florida’s Natural orange juice, an American farmers cooperative in central Florida, has updated their packaging. It now reads: “100% Premium Orange Juice from Concentrate … a premium blend of our Florida not-from-concentrate orange juice and the best orange juice from Mexico” No longer simply “100% Premium Florida Orange Juice” 😢 I hope there was a disease or bad weather that reduced the yield of Florida oranges and that this isn’t the new normal thanks to inflation.

Though everything seems much improved, I must admit that I dislike non-square images being cropped to be square in the #[0]​ feed views now.

Bitcoin is the cathedral, not the bazaar. I know popular bitcoiners say the opposite, but I think it’s mostly from lack of understanding the historical church. One example: Without the shared rules and accountability of the Church, the “social protocol” if you will, the bazaar wouldn’t have have the necessary social structure to support the marketplace of goods and ideas.

I used pandoc to make an html document, and then I put it on the internet for humans to read. pandoc index.md -s -o index.html I learned that pandoc’s default standalone html template even includes the bare necessity of “responsive” mobile-friendliness. It is simple and beautiful.
