We're The Conversation U.S., a nonprofit independent news source dedicated to providing context to help you understand the world. We do this by providing trustworthy, research-based journalism. #Introductions
We publish articles on everything from astronomy to Zoroastrianism, with an emphasis on explaining current events and current newsworthy research.
Everything we publish is available for free – without ads or paywall or registration – and everything can even be republished for free under a Creative Commons license (globally, we're proud to be the largest CC publisher of news).

✔️ All our articles are written by university scholars and researchers with deep expertise in their subjects, sharing their knowledge in their own words. We don't oversimplify complicated issues, but we do explain and clarify.
✔️ We are transparent, with all authors disclosing their expertise, funding and potential conflicts of interest. We disclose all of The Conversation's funders in a link on the footer of every article.
