Super interesting to learn about #hawala system, dating back 1.200 years to early Indian and Arab Traders. Used by both, Muslims and non-Muslims, its a decentralised system of specialised money brokers, based fully on #trust and #reputation. It was used to make remittances between people over long distances and across country borders.
