Your “money” in the bank may seem like an asset, but don’t forget that it is the bank’s liability. Buy and hold your own #Bitcoin

Please share your favorite #Bitcoin 101 resources for Bit-curious friends/family. My go to resource to share is WBD 300 - The Ultimate Bitcoin 101 with Vijay Boyapati. This interview is not too long and hits many talking points. I think Vijay and Peter do a great job framing this topic for new comers. Please let me know your favorite shares!

About a year ago, I spoke on the phone with an old friend from college. After catching up on life, I had mentioned how I’ve gone down the Bitcoin rabbit hole and have been investing in it. He voiced his skepticism, but time did not allow for us to get into longer discussion. I mentioned that I’d love to discuss further another time, if he is interested. However, we never did reconnect to discuss. Anyway, yesterday, my friend messaged me mentioning how they noticed bitcoin has been popping off. The moral of the story is to plant your seeds. Number Go Up will encourage people to take a second look, send messages, ask questions, etc. I am looking forward to help guide him down the rabbit hole. I have already shared The Bullish Case for Bitcoin and the TLDR to give him some food for thought. image

“Who will build the roads?” What if roadway projects could be funded on an opt-in basis by volunteering a toll to the infrastructure you use. The most important road to you is the one you are using. With this in mind, would you make small payment per use? I know tolls are not a new concept; however, nowadays, we have more technology (bitcoin & lightning) to leverage in making this a more seamless experience, especially on a smaller scale. Think lightning micropayments to city transportation nodes/infrastructure (intersections, roundabouts, bridges). For example: Your city could create a registry of transportation nodes which each have a Bitcoin/Lightning address. Micropayments can be volunteered the nodes you pass through on your daily commutes. A lot of details to flesh out. - Who controls the keys? - Who makes decisions about use of funds? - Would users participate in funding a certain project if it were advertised with a recommended toll to reach a funding objective by certain date? It will be interesting to see how our transportation system evolves on a bitcoin standard.

Given the symbiosis of bitcoin and energy, I believe we have only reached hyperbitcoinization once all energy is exchanged exclusively for bitcoin.
