Hi @brugeman — I’m looking at trust.nostr.band and curious to know where you’d like to take it. I think using PageRank or something like it as the foundation for nostr search is a great idea. Is there a reason you use the iterative method rather than the power method (use matrix algebra to solve for the principal eigenvector)? My understanding is that the power method is computationally more efficient than iterative.

Imagine a nostr search engine. Like Google keyword search, but for nostr. Clean, simple UX. How? PageRank for pubkeys. Why not?

Narcos and Narcos: Mexico, both on Netflix, are both such extraordinarily well-done shows. Well written, well paced, well acted. Truly some amazing performances. And such important stories to tell. True stories involving the major players in the war on drugs, focusing for the most part on Columbia and Mexico. A central theme: everything that the DEA is trying to achieve is sabotaged by the CIA, the State Department, the DOJ. To what end? They don’t make that as clear as I wish they had. They do make it clear that the Cold War is part of it, but the state interests we’re supposedly pursuing after the fall of the Soviet Union isn’t really addressed in either show. To me, these stories illustrate the pathologies inherent to the centralization of power. They are the stories that tell us why freedom tech matters.
