The new system is much more invasive than simple tag recognition: it tries to scan your face directly with the goal of "determining if you're at the phone while driving". Of all the relays on god's green earth (that accept kind 20000 events) about half of them are behind cloudflare™ reverse proxies. So there is no non-hacker way to determine their real location.
