I have a deserved reputation of being a pessimist. So I was a bit surprised to hear my 16 year old son ask me last night why I’m so optimistic.
I believe the good guys are destined to win. Bitcoin has reached escape velocity. The clock is ticking on the rein of evil supported through money printing. And if Bitcoin somehow fails, we’ll learn how it failed and build a better mouse trap.
That’s the long term play. Short term, for the first time in my life, I’m seeing a US administration trying to make the country—and the world—a better place. Will they succeed? I don’t know about total victory, but I expect the world to improve rapidly over the next four years.
So why not be optimistic? We have a solid long term plan, and a short term plan I’ll hopefully see come to fruition within my lifetime.
For the first time in my life, I expect my children to have a better life than I had.
It’s a good time to be optimistic. #bitcoin #freedom
Really solid breakdown of what’s happening with Musk. I’m still of the opinion the #bitcoin is the only long term protection we have against government overreach, but I’ll take these short term wins while we get them.
GM Nostr! A small approach to internal dialogue that I wanted to share.
Don't be afraid of your thoughts. You have no control over them. Don't feel guilt for desiring what you shouldn't have, or thinking things you believe are evil. Some part of your mind is sending those messages, and is doing so for a reason.
You aren't judged on the presence of the thoughts. You're judged on your actions.
Don't bury the thoughts and ignore them, it will only create a feedback cycle that will reinforce the thoughts. Face them, accept that you thought them, try to understand why you thought them, and then be happy knowing you have the ability to choose what to do. It's your defining mark as a human.
Keynsian view of the future: what will all of those out of work menial laborers do when the AI takes over?
Austrian view: what amazing thing will some brilliant person dream up of doing with all that untapped human potential?
Is there any Nostr browser extension that adds in handling of nostr: style links, and/or will rewrite links for one client to open in your preferred client instead? #asknostr
When people realize the wonderful world the money printer has stolen from them, they won’t just be angry. They’ll grieve.
And then rejoice. I hope we all get to see it in our lifetimes. #bitcoin
LMAO
I just got a scam email pretending to be from Nexo. Typical crypto scam. The funny thing this time? It's hosted on the domain whymarx.com
It's so perfect: using one scam (communism) to promote another.
What the actual fuck??? They were brazen enough to title their slush fund payments as "large scale social deception?"
