I need more bitcoin.
How am I going to get it? By providing value to my local and digital community which include family, church, local bitcoiners, non-local bitcoiners, and the Amish.
We are quite fiat poor with our latest investment into an Amish farm. This has been taking all of our fiat which leaves nothing left for us to buy bitcoin.
But, we have been building our local bitcoin community and it is STRONG! We provide goods and services for one another in exchange for bitcoin.
It's hard work, but that's the new system that we are voting for and building. Only via proof-of-work does someone build real value.
We've been learning a lot from the Amish community, who exemplify proof-of-work like no one else. They are the real ungovernable misfits.
Together, we will be providing our local bitcoin community with Amish goods and goods that we grow/raise on our new homestead. We also provide education to our local bitcoin meetups.
I loath social media, which is why I am reluctant to be active on NOSTR, but I want to be better about supporting/voting for protocols that provide freedom to anyone.
This note is my attempt to reconnect with the non-local bitcoin community. Together, we are building the new world with freedom at the foundation. Cheers to all of you for voting with your sats and voting with your feet. These are the REAL votes that build a better world for future generations. Votes for lesser and lesser quality politicians do nothing positive for our children. Builders change the course of history.
I encourage all of you to get up, get out, and go build utilizing your skills in whatever way you can. Be a servant and provide for your community, and they will return value back to you.
Here's to the future we're building.

Minor annoyance that has zero impact on my life:
People who always use the handicap button to open doors rather than, God forbid, you take the small opportunity to use a muscle for once in your life.

You go to the device. The device does not come to you.
Anyone else a no-notifications maxi?
Someone gave me this patch. I have been waiting over a year to find it a proper home because I love it so much. Just got a new backpack.
To whomever you are, I salute you good sir.

I continue to find myself in conversations with people contemplating how our modern monetary system will develop. They all agree that it is failing. They discuss where to look. They look to the dollar, the ruble, the yuan, to gold, to "a basket of goods"... They theorize deeply as to how political changes may influence human action toward one of these options.
I am dumbfounded as to how these deep thinkers are missing Bitcoin. They quickly dismiss it mostly because it's digital. For some reason, which I cannot comprehend, this is still considered a "risk." They cannot contemplate a system with minimal human intervention.
The gold bugs come close. They understand a system that is backed by physics, but they lose it because they remain under the assumption that this "Internet fad" might someday go away...
If the Internet is here to stay, and the majority of the infrastructure will remain intact (and more likely improve,) Bitcoin is the only direction to go. Bitcoin is "backed" by physics, by energy... I don't think most people realize how profound and advanced of a development this is for humanity. It blows my mind and continues to astound me every day for years. It is such an impactful discovery that it takes nearly all of my mental energy.
Bitcoin is not a speculative investment; it is an inevitability. That's not to say that we might not screw it up in the near future, but a more advanced and responsible society would 100% come to the conclusion that a system like Bitcoin is the necessary advancement to hold and transfer value.
I'm going to be pissed if we fuck this up.
Bullish on the plebs in my community; not foreign influencers.
Woke up and thought I'd rather workout at the skatepark than the gym. I've missed this.
