starting this Wednesday with sun on my face and salt in my hair. 🌊

Spring of 2021: this was the last picture we took of us in our home. when I see this picture, I have a hard time believing this was “our life”. steady careers, a 4 bedroom home, suburban neighborhood, & a path that seemed “figured out”. but in the inner core of our beings, there was a stirring. a curiosity of, “What if there’s actually more to life than having a big home and careers?” we had to make a decision. to stay on the path of a settled life or listen to that inner voice guiding us to a path that was unknown. I’m really proud of the two people in this photo… for being brave and making decisions with conviction. take some time today to look back and appreciate where you came from. 🤍

One thing I’m learning is that the more I strain for focus or ideas, the more disconnected I feel. When I pause, recenter, go outside and let myself just be, something shifts. I begin to notice what’s already before me. And it feels the most natural and true. 🌿🌺🫶🏼

Happy New Year ✨🌺🩵 in a world that is constantly looking ahead at the next thing, accomplishing new goals, buying more things, checking off more places on our travel list…. step into the New Year believing that what you have is already enough and who you are is enough. take time to see the beauty around you. break the cycle of just rushing the present to look into the future. luckily, learning more about Bitcoin this past year has shown me all of this is possible. to lower my time preference, focus on the present, and be intentional with every aspect of life. cheers to living in the present, living more in alignment with my true self, and loving others along the way. 🫶🏼 ~Look with wonder at which is before you. Christmas Eve activities: sunset walk, baking yummy cookies, & having a little adventure with Maggie. 🤍🎄 This is the third time we’ve ever been away from family for the holidays and, as much as I know we wish we could be with them to celebrate, I love how simple our life has become. It’s a holiday yet we don’t feel any need to do anything we don’t want to do or go anywhere we don’t want to. I’m super happy with this simple little Christmas Eve. and excited that Christmas will be spent outside on the beach, playing in the water, sipping on a papaya smoothie, and soaking up the sun. 🌞 Merry Christmas everyone!
