I just found this article 👇 [1] which reinforced what I was getting at. In the summer I started as an IT administrator at a small school where an omada network had already been built. I needed to change the VLANs and set up new rules between them. I didn't realize that switch ACLs are not stateful and assumed that the "omada controller" would set rules not only on the siwtch but also on the router. But it didn't. It took a long time before the network started working again. Finally, during the weekend I did draw and print new holders for server and internet modem so my rack looks more profi ;-) My server is just mini-itx board without box and I did used custom ugly holder before.
