Gm #coffeechain. Really been thinking and working hard to turn my homestead into a place people can come and one thing keeps bothering me a bit: this isn't a place where I have spent tens of thousands on concrete and traditional furnishings. It has pallette wood growing beds. It has old hotel furniture on the patio to sit on. The 4 wheelers are old Hondas.
We haven't spent money on new looking things. What you find here is a real, sometimes messy homestead.
The people who spend time here love the peace and the experience. Except- some people think they are coming to a tourist attraction. Think "homestead Disney petting zoo." That is not us.
How do I bridge the gap between TOO real and making a space folks can enjoy?
