What is going on with lightning integration on iOS currently? Zapple Pay is failing to set up the connection. Primal makes you use their custodial wallet which I can't use since I'm in the UK. I've been gone 3 months and it's all gone to pot. Any ideas? #nostr #grownostr #plebchain

Alright #devstr help a brother out. I’m building something that has paid subscriptions baked into it. What’s the easiest way to integrate allowing people to pay for a subscription with #Bitcoin? Not fussy on whether it’s lightning, liquid or onchain. Just something that works and isn’t a headache to hook into on the backend.

Using Primal on iOS for the first time since 2023. What happened to using Alby to zap? Did they have to remove it now that they’re fully on the App Store?

Starting a Primal diet (think Paleo/Keto but with dairy) has been the biggest cheat code to fitness. Satiated with much smaller portions. Feel better overall physically. Avoid seed oils. Minimise starchy & grain based carbs. Prioritise high quality protein, fats, fruit & veg. It's really that easy to live a healthy life.

My Ledger Nano is starting to give up the ghost (don't worry, my seed phrase is well backed up). Before people shout at me for using Ledger, this was one of their older models which doesn't have as many scary security problems. What should I get for an alternative cold storage solution? I'm looking for something super simple, I don't need much in the way of advanced features.

Here are some unfiltered thoughts about how #communities online and offline could use #nostr. I love how Nostr has given us a viable, decentralised alternative to social media. At a conceptual level Nostr is superior to Mastodon’s use of ActivityPub. But I think Mastodon does communities better. Federated servers are a good way of signposting the intent of a community. People can join a server about something that interests them. On the flip side of this it is hard to move servers and you can’t join multiple servers. Nostr doesn’t have this issue as multiple relays can be joined. BUT it is almost like a homogenous blob. The only way to filter your feed (that I know of) is through hashtags. Even then it’s difficult to establish a “community” that can focus on a specific topic as anyone can use the hashtag (s**tcoin bots for example). Without understanding all the fundamentals of how relays and clients work I pose this question. Could “special” relays be created that focus on specific types of content? They are write protected through some community website that users sign up to. But at the same time can broadcast and be read by other clients/relays to retain the advantage of decentralising notes? Interested to hear from those who have worked on Nostr and ideas that people have #plebchain #asknostr #nostrdev
