Yep. I grabbed a few sats the other day. It’s going to be on sale for awhile longer yet…in fact one might argue it will always be on sale. nostr:note1xpt9wlcxka39nputk2vqzjkf82mfs55ngdqnq07glnhjnnxewmwstqg9gg

Goooooood Morning Nostriches! (Trying to get back in the habit of greeting y’all, even if these are the only posts I can get up in the day.) A long time ago I read a book, In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day, I believe the author is Mark Batterson. There were lots of good nuggets in the book but the premise and title hinged around a singular sentence from 1 Samuel (from the Bible’s Old Testament) which recounts Benaiah’s victories for King David for whom Benaiah later became captain of David’s bodyguards. Fast forward at least forty years…David has passed and his son Solomon is now king. Many, believers or not, know of King Solomon as the “wisest man who ever lived”. (He was also the wealthiest, because he asked God for Wisdom and Knowledge over worldly riches, God rewarded Solomon with both). Well, Benaiah is still alive and wouldn’t you know it? He’s an assassin! One of the first duties Solomon has him do is go find and kill the betrayers of Solomon’s father, King David. Now…these are some obscure and arguably minor passages in scripture. A sentence here. A few more there…but Benaiah was obviously important enough to be: A. Trusted by kings B. Included in both the Jewish, Early / Orthodox and Protestant Christian Bibles As I reflect on this a couple of thoughts comes to mind. 1. Benaiah found purpose in his mission. Too often, myself included, we fall back into non-productive habits. We ignore our Why. We wonder why we aren’t motivated with urgency to accomplish the mission of our king (as Christians). Usually I find it’s becasue I’m looking for motivation instead of towards the mission. It comes down to confusion of clarity. Motiviation comes from pursuing a worthwhile mission! 2. No matter how big, or for most of us, how small our mission may seem. As is written in the New Testament Gospels, if you believe in and on the ever living king, Jesus, your name too will be written in the only book that will matter for eternity. The Lamb’s Book of Life. So as leaders. As business owners. As a spouse, a parent, a friend…a human. Get clear on the mission THE KING has assigned you; and then don’t stop until it’s completed or He gives you a new mission to motivate. God bless, Jason #GM #Bible #Christian #Wisdom #Leadership #Entrepreneurship

Good Morning Nostriches! In the Faith Driven Investor cohort I just wrapped up leading, we started the journey being unaware of how the assets God has entrusted us can be used in a capitalistic manner that goes beyond “return on investment”. We learned that at a bare minimum ROI should be calculated as Return on Impact and penultimately as Return on / Rescue of Image Bearers… Because, that’s what we are. We and all of creation bears the image of God. I just read the following story and thought it was relevant to what we’ve studied together. “…one Sunday, sitting anonymously in church, I heard the phrase “hope carrier.” That wasn’t branding. It was conviction. I wasn’t built to accumulate; I was built to carry hope into dark places. I didn’t need another deal. I needed an assignment. That shift wasn’t a career pivot. It was a soul recalibration. My calendar didn’t get easier. But the mission got clearer. I wasn’t leaving something behind; I was finally stepping into the real fight. Once you know who you are and why you’re here, you stop counting upside and start counting impact.“ —- Yes money is important. We are called to multiply it. But if our multiplication only involves bigger barns and fancy cars when the roof over another’s head is the proverbial cardboard box. Are we really bearing the image of God? Are we seeking the right type of return?! Maybe instead of seeking only return on investment, we simply need to accept the assignment… We simply need to step into the rescue mission with the capital we’ve been entrusted with. —- I’ll be leading another cohort at the start of Q4. If you’re interested in joining let me know…the content is provided for free. I merely ask for you to show up and participate in the conversation as we learn, lead, and grow together. #Bible #Investment #Bitcoin #Christian #GM #PV #Wisdom image

Proud of myself... I didn't pull a Trump and follow up with my wife on the Amazon purchase I just saw come through. Sometimes, ok most of the time, it's best to just let the purchase be a purchase... Not a hill worth bleeding or dying on!

Sometimes I think it’s the explicitly clear verses of the Bible that get overlooked or debated to death. Look…it’s simple anyone (everyone) who calls on Jesus will be saved. It’s doesn’t matter if you are on your death bed, at the highlight of your life, or perhaps are standing before Him on judgement day. “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭HCSB‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/72/rom.10.9-10.HCSB “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭13‬ ‭HCSB‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/72/rom.10.13.HCSB #God #Jesus #Biblestr #Bible #GM Good Morning #PV Pura Vida image

Can you help me understand how / why I’d want to use this information in particular with NOSTR? Are they just relays that we can add which happen to further privatize routing via TOR?

I’m reminded of two things when reading this. 1. My wife and I have a “no divorce” (“d-word”) covenant. It simply isn’t an option. We don’t joke about it. We don’t entertain it or the steps such as separation that leads up to it…we surround ourselves with inputs and people that will help us fight for one another and not with or against… 2. John Eldgredge wrote in Wild at Heart (published in the ‘90’s if I recall) that for decades leading up to that point there has been intentional demasculinization of society. A spiritual (for Millenia) and physical (for decades) attack on the family unit. As the spiritual leaders of our homes, as men, we must do everything we can through the power of Holy Spirit, Christ the Son, and God the Father to put on the full Armor of God and fight tooth and nail agasint anything and everything to protect our family unit. This means and reinforces, divorce is not an option…and yea…I too need to do a better job of leading myself so I can model for my son how he needs to prepare and lead his future wife and child(den) here on Earth, for the Kingdom of Heaven!

This is one of the pitfalls financially wealthy, especially if one is a Christian, that we need to be aware of: Building Bigger Barns and Store Houses isn’t Stewardship nostr:note1vrhnh28kvjdmmp0z5v059aauf77e9wfnvpgx9r4h6ny3apw7fnhqlrejqm

I heard something in passing on a podcast the other day. I was on a long road trip so I don’t recall which show or episode but it struck me enough to write this. 1. We must, and 2. Soon we will not tally BTC, rather we will tally Satoshis. It’s simple math. Not enough (whole) #bitcoin to go around so the shift needs to happen to thinking not in terms of how many bitcoin I have but how many sats I stacked. 🤔

Great excpert from Built for the Fight by Mike Tobias “Stay Humble and Keep Learning The best leaders never stop learning. They ask questions. They seek wisdom. They stay teachable, even when they are in charge. Look at Solomon. When God gave him a blank check, he did not ask for power or wealth. He asked for wisdom. And because of that posture, God gave him both. That one decision shaped a generation of leadership and built a kingdom known for peace and prosperity. Now look at Saul. He had the position, the title, and the people’s praise. But he stopped listening. He refused correction. He acted out of fear and pride. And it cost him everything. The difference was not talent. It was teachability. If you want to lead well, stay humble. Read. Ask questions. Surround yourself with men[tors] who challenge you to grow. Let others speak into your blind spots. Be slow to speak and quick to learn. Leaders who stop learning eventually stop leading.” Built For The Fight: The Battle to Become the Man You Were Created to Be https://amzn.to/406bLdi #bookstr #books #leadership #self-improvement #wisdom

Good morning Nostriches! I find it encouraging and heart warming when we get our strength from the LORD, all that was plundered is returned to us. “David was in a difficult position because the troops talked about stoning him, for they were all very bitter over the loss of their sons and daughters. But David found strength in the Lord his God.” 1 Samuel 30:6 HCSB David’s men came across a sick Egyptian who was from the raiding party and in exchange for mercy the Egyptian led David and his men to the captors. “Nothing of theirs [David and his men] was missing from the youngest to the oldest, including the sons and daughters, of all the plunder the Amalekites had taken. David got everything back.” 1 Samuel 30:19 HCSB https://bible.com/bible/72/1sa.30.6.HCSB https://bible.com/bible/72/1sa.30.19.HCSB #GM #Biblestr #God #Jesus #Christ #wisdom

There is significant power in building relationships with the people you are aligned with or can really help. This whole idea of spray your brand as far and wide as possible and catch who you can catch… Well, that’s so late 1900’s 😉 As a business, as leaders, if you aren’t focused on people in 2025…you are doing it wrong!

Being busy doesn’t mean you’re building anything worthwhile…anything that will last. This past month has had sprints of busyness within our extended family. (Aging members and the life choices they need help making then executing). In large part it’s left my wife and I just “blah” when we’ve had any opportunity to breathe. Yes family is important. In fact it’s number 3 on my Heirarchy of Relational Leadership™ 1. God 2. Self 3. Family 4. Everyone and everything else Yet I don’t feel like this has been a successful relay, even though I know we’ve made an impact. Success too across these sprints just feels blah… As a leader, I think this is a precarious position to be in. We are presented with a choice: Do we say “no more” or do we dig deep(er) and push through? If we are truly following Christ’s example of Servant Leadership, then the answer becomes clear…we don’t necessarily dig deeper, rather we lean into Him harder. We lead ourselves in such a manner that it reflects the Son. In short, we continue to serve even if it doesn’t seem like we are building anything worthwhile. Why? Becasue penultimately it’s not about us. It’s about Him, God the Father…that’s why He’s Numero Uno, First, Alpha on the list 👆 So as a leader whether it’s at home, in a boardroom, or on a platform…Be consistent. Spotlight moments don’t build leaders. Leadership is built in quiet faithfulness.
