Leaders...
Hone in on that Redemptive Frame.
This is how it's done!

Being busy doesn’t mean you’re building anything worthwhile…anything that will last.
This past month has had sprints of busyness within our extended family. (Aging members and the life choices they need help making then executing).
In large part it’s left my wife and I just “blah” when we’ve had any opportunity to breathe.
Yes family is important.
In fact it’s number 3 on my Heirarchy of Relational Leadership™
1. God
2. Self
3. Family
4. Everyone and everything else
Yet I don’t feel like this has been a successful relay, even though I know we’ve made an impact.
Success too across these sprints just feels blah…
As a leader, I think this is a precarious position to be in.
We are presented with a choice: Do we say “no more” or do we dig deep(er) and push through?
If we are truly following Christ’s example of Servant Leadership, then the answer becomes clear…we don’t necessarily dig deeper, rather we lean into Him harder.
We lead ourselves in such a manner that it reflects the Son.
In short, we continue to serve even if it doesn’t seem like we are building anything worthwhile. Why?
Becasue penultimately it’s not about us. It’s about Him, God the Father…that’s why He’s Numero Uno, First, Alpha on the list 👆
So as a leader whether it’s at home, in a boardroom, or on a platform…Be consistent.
Spotlight moments don’t build leaders.
Leadership is built in quiet faithfulness.
This whole proof of work thing doesn’t leave much time for NOSTR…
I want a refund 🤣
Good morning Nostriches and have a blessed day!

Happy Friday Nostriches.
What’s your weekend plans?
The 4R’s of Rest are important for leaders.
Relax
Recharge
Reconnect
Refocus
Make it a point each week to take a full day to Rest…this will result in rejuvenation for you mind, body, and soul!

Good Morning Nostriches!
It was another earlier (slightly than I like) wake up.
It's not the darkness and quiet that I didn't appreciate; it was the 70lb neighbor's dog jumping up onto the be, on me directly...that awakened me 🤦🏻♂️
But hey...I'm not a complainer 🤣 I'm grateful for the Lord waking me how He saw fit!
Besides an impromptu nap I'm planning to take today; I've got a book I'm editing for a client with a publish deadline of EOM.
So after I take my son to basketball camp, take a nap...probably eat...I'll dive into work mode.
I know I haven't been as active on NOSTR the last couple of weeks...
Tuesday was "move uncle across the state" day to live near us since his wife's passing a few months ago.
And that along side serving clients and leading the FDI Bible Study; I've sort of not had much free time and have prioritized other relationships recently.
That being said, and while I do publish articles, I'm toying with the idea of starting a sometimes-weekly leadership newsletter.

Good Morning Nostriches!
You are all Leaders.
Remember, #leadership isn’t a title. It’s relationships.
And relationships require us to choose responsibility when others will not.
NOSTR, Bitcoin, and sovereignty is a responsibility we must embrace.
That’s all (for now).
Go rock Monday!

For my Christian Leaders out there on this Saturday Morning!
1 Peter 2:9 (HCSB):
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
While Jesus is the last priest,
I can do better living as His “royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9)—interceding, worshiping, reflecting God’s heart.
It’s more than prayers or acts.
It’s a daily calling.
We’re not perfect.
Thank God for Jesus!
Ephesians 4:22–24 (HCSB):
22 Put off your old self, corrupted by deceitful desires;
23 Be renewed in your mind;
24 Put on the new self, created in God’s likeness.
Am I truly living that royal priesthood?
I’ve got far to go.
I can choose better—steward my mind, spirit, leadership.
Amen.

Anyone got a Strike referral code for me?

Are there any words you try to avoid using?
One for me is "desperately".
I hear people use it all the time, "oh I desperately want to go there / do that / reach this goal..."
I've tried to train myself to replace desperately with the word fervent.
It might seem like a small change, after all what's a synonym amongst friends 😉
But for me, I just find "fervent" to communicate the heart in a, shall I say holier way?
Desperate exudes a negativity that I'd rather not be associated with.
A hopelessness that I'm not aligned with.
A despair...
Whereas "fervent" indicates intentionality, desire, passion, connectedness...relationship with that which I am seeking.
And since leadership = relationships, I'd rather rise to fervency than fall to being desperate.
What's a word you avoid using?
So...out of curiosity, are you running your own web server from home/the office or using a web host that supports Wordpress (open source CMS)?
P.S. Since I have a business, my site is a lot more thorough

The above works great when sharing online.
When offline, such as when meeting people in real life, the most powerful method I've used is:
"Hey, you got your cell phone with ya?" (Who doesn't these days 🤷♂️)
"Cool, can I see it and I'll type my number in it for ya." then I send them a text message from their own phone to me saying something like "Hey it's Bob" (or whatever their name is)
I simply reply to their text with my contact card and say "It was great chatting about..." (whatever it was we discussed).

Proud father moment.
My teenage son is now a Bitcoiner thanks to using
@Unbank to convert some fiat.
Not so funny story…
Went to the first place (which should have been the only place I needed to go) to do the conversion…they don’t take rolled coins.
Went to our business bank; “We don’t do transactions here we are only a ‘Solution Center’”
(How you doin’ providing a solution for me if you won’t take my fiat!?)
Thankfully our personal bank likes me and was more than happy to convert the rolled coins into paper dollars so I could go to yet another location to complete the fiat into BTC for my son!
Good grief!
Even the very institutions that purportedly want my money deposited to them…won’t even deal with physics currency these days. 😡
We MUST Bitcoin y’all 😇
I enjoy reading, especially intellectual stuff.
Arguably, I love reading...more so, I love learning (regardless of format)!
While I have my opinions, strong as they may be at times, I would not consider myself a complainer...
THAT BEING SAID!
Kindle...what did you do?!? 🤷♂️
The most recent software update...Oh My!
It now takes 3 steps to highlight text 🤦♂️
Call me old fashion or a curmugion or whatever...
And it's not that 3 steps is horrible (it's not good, but it not the worst UX I've experienced)
It's more that what I want to do - highlight a part of a book - is interrupted with defining the first word of the section I want to highlight!
So I'm asking for A, but instead Kindle is giving me B...
STOP AND THINK FOR A MINUTE ABOUT YOUR LEADERSHIP!
How many times do you ask of your team, does your team ask of you, and most critically; do you ask of yourself ONE THING but deliver another?
Business people often look at contracts as a one time thing. You know, you bring on a new team member and there's an agreement.
Your business needs a service from a 3rd party vendor and there's a contract...
BUT...every decision you make throughout your day is in fact an agreement.
You are either going to seek and deliver the thing you want, and ultimately God has for you, your business, your team, and your impact
...OR like Kindle, when you want to highlight something...you are gonna get something else that might be important, but it isn't important in that moment.
And that's the crux of it all as a leader. What is it we should prioritize in the moment?
Simply put, the relationship.
Leadership = Relationships!
---
Next time you are off track, not getting the result you desire and God has for you; I want you to:
1. Check in with God
2. Check in with yourself
3. Check in with your team
After all, that is the Hierarchy of Relational Leadership:
> God
> Self
> Family
> Others
So...tell me, with whom is one relationship you can strengthen today?

Boy do I hate it when I’m mid one thing, a reminder pops in my brain for another thing…then by the time I pick up my iPad 10s later…brain forgot thing 2!
Oh….but I just remembered! 💡
BRB
I had a slightly comical (to me) interaction with our son this morning while he was getting ready to go to a friend’s basketball game.
He said, “you know dad I know you didn’t make a lot from your hobby yesterday so maybe one thought is you could put that aside in an emergency fund for you and mom so that you have extra money if you need it.”
And he follows it up with, “you know like Dave Ramsay‘s 7 baby steps.”
🤣
So I asked, “oh that’s cool you like Dave Ramsay?”
And he said “yeah I really do.
“And I you like learning about money?” I asked.
“Yep, I really like that,” he replied.
So I think the praise report as his parent is several fold.
1. We have to trust God. God is going to reach him where he is at, through whatever means God needs to. Even if that’s Dave Ramsay on TikTok. 🤣
2. I’m glad he is getting that sort of inputs so that it shifts him from consumerism to stewarding.
3. As a family we are exploring the Faith Driven Students’ “Called to Create and a different provider’s “Degree Free” we want to keep in mind that he likes learning about money and I’m assuming working with money.
I wouldn’t suggest he should become a banker per se but God is possibly preparing him to steward large amounts of capital whether that’s through playing in the NBA or owning his own business or whatever God has for him.
Which is to say our son is starting to show interest in things other than video games 🤪 and I for one, am grateful it’s stewarding finances.
