#asknostr Asking again because it’s been a month and no answer/solution… Why does my notifications on Primal load blank or flash blank light gray boxes? I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, disconnected reconnected my nsec…etc this occurs regardless of device or web access to Primal image
@YakiHonne Cc @npub147wh...selt @REDKAZ⚡️| YakiHonne Maybe I’m missing it… But does YakiHonne have a “new follower” notification or feed? I know Primal did (not sure if they still do as that app hasn’t worked for me for months) But in Primal when I’d go to notifications it would show me npub… followed you. Then I could click into their profile and engage with them. Does this exist in YakiHonne? If not, wen timeline 😜
Just realized OxChat has a built in Cashu wallet @calle 💪 #asknostr anyone know what the group size limit for 0xChat Groups is? Use case: could it essentially function like a Telegram community? Or is there a low people count threshold on 0xChat group size?
OTC and Market Makers Both public and private versions of both. BTC is a traceable asset on the stock exchanges. All public companies such as MSTR have relationships with the clearinghouses and thus are able to stagger orders and/or purchase significantly larger quantities than retail investors. Keep in mind most those order will not show in public order book. The stagger order order goes something like this: Saylor “I’d like to buy X BTC below Y price within 30 days.” OTC, MM, CH-es… “ok, we have N BTC Available now and the remaining will be sent within the 30 days” … 👆is overly simplified but that’s basically how it works. The sellers have a stock pile or (private futures) contracts in place to buy larger quantities at specific prices. Then when an order comes in (ie from Saylor) th contracts get executed. Now to your point…the beauty of BTC is there will come a time when the well will run dry and he’ll have to pry it from your hands and my hands… I relish that day 🤗 I might just say “no” 🤑

The work around I’ve found is: 1. Withdraw some fiat from bank (atm) 2. Use @Unbank app. Here in the USA (not sure where you are) you can go to most CVSes and lots of smoke/vape shops and use the paper fiat to buy BTC straight to a self custody wallet of your choice.
Is there a getting started resource you recommend? I’m assuming I need some hardware…what’s recommended (minimum viable?) (I know AlbyHub and had it running in my Mac but due to travel for 12 hours and a coincidence of the LSP adjusting their fees during the node’s offline time, the channel was forced closed) So I want dedicated hardware and something configurable (I know Alby CAN route…but it’s not designed/optimized for that per my convo with their team)
Can you clarify “Yakinhonne allow paid memberships”? Do you mean I as a content creator can create a membership offer via YakiHonne and have people pay me to access deeper content? (I’m not aware of that feature…)
Ever start a task only to have it lead to 20 rabbit trails?! Well...maybe not TWENTY...but certainly 4 or 5?? Yea. That was this afternoon 🤦🏻‍♂️ Went to send a few emails...that led to me noticing I should probably update my email signature, which lead to a website footer update...which led to several colleague and friend coms later... I'm JUST now about ready to send those initial emails! 🤣
#asknostr Ok…so if wallets such as Muun (and others) are self custody, why would one want to run a lightning “node” via Alby or similar? Seems to me a (maybe only?!) benefit is choice of LSP / having multiple LSPs in place and a more personalized wallet address (ie @domain instead of string of characters) —- As I’m typing this I suppose another reason to use Alby or run one’s own lightning node is the idea of decentralization but if on Alby I can’t easily (it’s not designed) to function as a router, what’s the benefit vs Muun which is factually significantly less technically involved UX wise. —- This isn’t meant to be a bash on Alby, I ran a node for a short bit through them and their team was great in helping solve some technical issues after client upgrade etc… I’m just thinking outloud and exploring solutions for myself and others I desire to Orange Pill and as @jack recently discussed with @ODELL on a Citadel Dispatch episode; UX in particular onboarding is something we’be got to fix! Like I’m thinking how to get my barber onboarded who really doesn’t care (yet) about all this tech stuff…he maybe just wants to dip his toes into this thing called Bitcoin… So when it comes to lightning; are LN nodes such as via Alby actually beneficial to: A. End user experience, and B. The network? (I assume yes to this but I’m perhaps missing the “why” beyond decentralizing routes is it?!)
