Welp… The day got away from me, so… Good Morning (afternoon and NIGHT) tonight ;) Spent 11 hours driving yesterday. So today I was a little wiped and aftern my morning errands, decided to nap 🥱 Woke up, took care of several important relational emails, I think I reNoted and QuoteNoted a couple people here on NOSTR, then for homeschooling this evening my son wanted to bake copycat PDQ cranapple oatmeal cookies. So we did that, skimmed the Magic game after I watered the garden, and here I am in bed again 🤣 I had one interesting personal reaction to something that happened here today. Someone, a business owner, randomly zapped one of my Notes with a marketing message. At first I was like, “whatever dude, the least you could have done was actually engage with me…” That was my knee jerk reaction becasue I’ve trained myself to be relational, not transactional (I didn’t used to be that way). But then I was like…yea it was transactional but: 1. I did click through to his profile and then his website 2. He paid ME to take that action… So essentially I sold my attention for a few pennies but I made the sats, not some corporate behemoth making money off me and my attention… I GET to choose! 🤑 Who knows, being a presence in the marketplace could become its own online business model via NOSTR! And I’d add, in the obvious too. Good Morning Nostriches! We can sometimes get so distracted by the details of life; not being where we want to be, or whom we want to be with, or what we don’t have and the experiences we tell ourselves we are missing. All these “details” take the focus off God and shift the glory that is His, onto us. It’s another lie that Satan tells us which we buy into. A secularist might tell you, “oh you have to get your head out of the sand and show gratitude…write down 5 things you are grateful for and be generous to change your outlook on life.” I’d actually agree but with this caveat… That isn’t a secularist idea. It’s Biblical. God tells us in Proverbs 11:25, "The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed." And "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thessalonians 5:18). These are but two of hundreds of verses on the topic of being thankful and blessing others financially. …so the details… Ever hear the phrase (or maybe say it yourself) “the devil is in the details”. Why is that such a popular phrase? Becasue that too is what secularist would have you believe. But if we turn our heart towards scripture one more time, Matthew 6:26 encourages believers to trust in God's provision. It states, "Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" As humans we can get so worked up about the details, that we forget we have a God who keeps the universe in order. An infitesimal, unfathomable, and uncountable amount of checks and balances occur every nano second in order to keep the world afloat and our lives breathing. So be grateful for the details that we can’t count or imagine…but so too praise God for the big things we often take for granted or purely ignore. #GM #Biblestr #Christian #Bible #PV Pura Vida P.S.
