Good morning #nostr This really is a special morning for me. My father has been in palliative care for the last 4 months with stage 4 lung cancer. Yesterday we received the results from a major MRI test and the doctors have said he is in remission and astounded by how quick his recovery has been. He is able to go home very soon. I just have no words for how grateful I am to his medical staff, my friends, family, and colleagues, as well as internet friends here on #nostr Without the help of these amazing people, we would have found ourselves in an incredibly dark and lonely place. Throughout this experience, I have seen and been reminded by the incredible beauty and kindness of humans beings. To try my best to not absolve to the darkness but to see the light. My family is incredibly lucky and I know not all situations like this result in good news. It is easy to fall into the nihilist mindset that there is no hope but my dad and his medical staff really showed what it means to not give up. To keep fighting everyday, one day at a time. If you’re reading this, I just want to say thank you for taking the time to listen to my family’s story and wish you happiness and health in 2025.
