Really good read. From seeing the drama on MT the last few days, I've become less harsh toward Muslim Keynesians/socialists because in general, they at least want material prosperity (though of course I heavily disagree with their methods 🙂) for muslims. I didn't realize how big a segment of biomass legit want Muslims to not be economically prosperous and industrially competent. That group is way more dangerous, and I now see the true utility of the mines.

For those that want to buy the eBook using bitcoin over the lightning network, I set up a @Zaprite page here: I made it 20% off compared to the Amazon eBook price. You get both an EPUB and a PDF copy of the book. Note: you might have to wait for a few minutes to a few hours to receive your eBook since I'm processing these orders manually. View quoted note →

This essay is worth reading. The potential for marketplaces to use lightning, ecash, and nostr is massive and we're barely scratching at the surface for what's possible View article →

Fiat is latin for "let it be done". The masters of the fiat system want the power of kun faya kun, which belongs only to Allah swt. Without any effort, they press a button to virtually print money and steal value from everyone. Riba is an attempt to create something for nothing, which is a failed attempt to replicate the 'kun faya kun' power that only belongs to Allah swt. Of course this power cannot be manifested in the real world as there's a hidden cost associated with it. This cost is the debasement of civilization and the loss of human life. Riba has always been the true philosopher's stone. image

More and more Muslims are making the Digital Hijra to Linux and using open source software! The movement to boycott windows and big tech is hopefully starting to catch on! You can sign up for the webinar here: bio.lubabacademy.com/ethicaltech image

One of the cool things about using Linux is that so many tasks can be accomplished by just typing a line in the command line. Like, sure, you could pull up the associated program and click through menus to find what you're looking for, but the command line is just so smooth. I was trying to add the cover to the PDF of the book. But the cover was a jpg. So i had to convert it to PDF and then append it to front of the book. This can be easily accomplished by using the command: convert cover.jpg cover.pdf Then use the following to append it to book PDF: pdfunite cover.pdf book.pdf final-book.pdf Bam. I now have a PDF of the book with the cover. I need to get more familiar with the command line. Really cool stuff.

Interesting reading list posted by Abu Z as suggestions instead of reading Edward Said I haven't read Said or any of these but the titles seemed interesting enough for me to include in my reading list in the future:

Apparently there's quite a shitstorm brewing over on Muslim X from the original post because many Muslims that are critics of modernity are losing their shit over Muslims supposedly being in awe of the grandeur of the west. They (the critics) see the technological development of the west as a negative thing and that we shouldn't strive to imitate the west in their advancement. Its been interesting to watch 😁 image

Getting closer! We just need to encourage our scholars to continue down the Hallaqian path and call for not paying taxes and not use fiat money 😏 image

OK let's try this again. I wrote some notes here on Guénon and the role of the Elite. It has some relevance for those of us that are making tribes here on nostr View article →

For my book, I quote quite a bit from most of these books in this list. They basically provide the core for understanding the actual potential for how Bitcoin could be particularly transformative for Muslims. But what's missing is the much needed economic theory for helping the Muslim reader understand Bitcoin from a sound money perspective. So we had to rely quite a bit on Austrian Economics to bridge that gap. But the list is still extremely informative (it was for me!), even from an Economics standpoint, and I hope my book will inspire others to go down this rabbit hole. image
