Bitcoin obviously fixes this, yes, but the underlying mindset also has to change. Islamic banking needs to go. We gotta tear it all down and build something new. image

Proof of work is still the best security model, you just have to make sure you're on the chain that has the most, which is Bitcoin. Approximately 98% of all proof of work mining goes solely into securing Bitcoin. The remainder is divided among bcash, bsv, dogecoin, litecoin, monero, etc. To try a 51% attack on Bitcoin, you have to: -Source tens of billions of dollars worth of ASIC machines -And you would need over a dozen nuclear reactors worth of electricity to power them It really should be a no brainer to choose Bitcoin to store your wealth in. Nothing else compares, nothing else competes. image

Idiots that claim that there's no genocide in Gaza because "there's more births than deaths" are mentally disabled. They demonstrate that they are unable to think in hypotheticals. It's best to not engage with such people. You're dealing with someone that's unable to construct an If-Else statement.

Muslims will literally propose any and every solution to "capitalism" but will refuse to study how the current fiat system works

Great essay. Muslims need to be actively using and building and expanding on open and decentralized infrastructure like Nostr! Especially integrating Bitcoin and AI and other open protocols. "nostr is where the culture will be born because any counter culture on legacy SM will be algorithmically subsumed" View article β†’

What this brother has written here is absolutely incredible 🀯 The original post is in Ottoman and it's quite long But if I understand correctly, he’s arguing that Islamic Economics is crippled because it has no coherent methodology as it relies on fiqh rulings or a secularized economics with Islamic branding. Instead of judging policies by shallow outcomes, he says the field must be rebuilt from the ground up on a "kalam-praxeology" foundation using the deductive + axiomatic method of praxeology but with its starting principles drawn from Islamic theology. Economics in the Islamic tradition should move beyond merely asking β€œis this transaction halal?” to defining what trade, value, and economic action are in the first place, from a priori first principles This brother is calling to scrap existing Islamic Economics work as methodologically worthless and replace it with a system as rigorous as Austrian Economics but rooted in kalam. He even suggests to use Rothbard’s "Man, Economy and State" as an interim textbook to teach micro and macro through a coherent method. image

This the CEO of Lightspark by the way. A filthy Zionist that advocates for genocide of the Palestinians. Irredeemable. Oh and it looks like this company is really pushing for stablecoins and shitcoins on the lightning network. Best to avoid this company all together. image

Brilliant. The only thing I disagree with is that from my experience, the average person is very much in favor of price controls, particularly rent and food. Even "educated" people are very much in favor of it too, or feel indifferent that they cannot conceive of any consequences from price controls.
