i’ve recently become disillusioned with the idea that you have to “be” something. we all put so much pressure on ourselves to be what we *do*. but if you believe that you are what you do, you are fundamentally limiting yourself, for no reason. instead of being a businessman, be generous & hardworking. instead of being an artist, be open & intuitive. then your journey becomes your business, and life; your art. become the principle, the idea underlying the thing, rather than the thing itself.
