I used to love writing. At 15, I’d sit for hours, scribbling poetry. I even tried writing lyrics a few times. Something about getting your thoughts out on paper just… relaxed me. I also loved drawing (not that great) but coloring always felt calming. I’ve wanted to learn an instrument too but never did. And now I wonder… am I too old to start? They say the older you get, the harder it is. Cooking used to be another creative outlet. I loved trying new recipes. But now, living mostly carnivore (and mostly animal-based), scrolling through the internet full of “recipe inspo,” I ask myself… is it even worth it? And here I am thinking… maybe I just need a hobby. What about you? Do you have one? What do you do that just makes you you? #inspo #nostr #proofofsteak #creativeoutlet #hobby image

Everyone thinks you have to eat salads to be healthy. Meanwhile, I feel better than ever on steak, butter, eggs, and real food. Crazy how simple it actually is. 👉 Could you give up salads?

Food and ADHD are more connected than people realize. I was never diagnosed with ADHD as a kid, but looking back I know I had it. Now as an adult, I see how much food makes a difference in how I feel. Seed oils and sugar? I’m anxious, scattered and drained for days. Protein and eggs? Focus, energy and calm. The same goes for my kids. It doesn’t fix ADHD, but it changes everything about how we function. Do you notice certain foods make your focus better or worse? #adhd #carnivore #animalbaseddiet #meatbased #proofofsteak #nostr #gm image

Seed oils are one of those hot topics. Some nutritionists and even doctors will tell you they’re healthy. Others, like Dr. Cate Shanahan, Dr. Anthony Chaffee, and Dr. Philip Ovadia, warn about the damage they can do long term. The truth is, we definitely need more research… but here’s what I know from my own journey. Anytime I ate something fried or cooked in seed oils, I felt it. Anxious, bloated, low energy, and it would take me a couple of days to feel normal again. Once I cut them out and switched to animal fats like butter and tallow, I noticed how much better my body responded. People can argue all day about whether seed oils are “bad for you” or not. At the end of the day it’s your choice, but I’ll be over here avoiding them and feeling good. Do you avoid seed oils or not really pay attention to them? #carnivore #animalbased #meatbased #seedoils #proofofsteak #healthyeating

Growing up, I loved cereal. It was always in the pantry, always easy, and honestly it was the highlight of breakfast. Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Frosted Flakes, Fruity Pebbles, I loved them all. As a kid I never thought about what was in it. Why would I? It tasted good and the box said things like heart healthy or whole grain. But the truth is, most cereals have little to no nutritional value. They are full of sugar and processed ingredients, and once I started learning more about food I realized how little they actually do for our bodies. That’s one reason I never started my kids on cereal. They don’t even know what it is. We don’t eat perfectly but we do our best to cook at home and make meals that give them real energy. Since my kids have ADHD, it feels even more important to fuel them with food that supports their focus instead of distracting it. For us, breakfast is usually eggs, fruit, and sometimes sourdough bread. It’s simple, but it works. I share this not to judge anyone, but because I wish I had known this sooner. What we put in our bodies really does matter. Do your kids eat cereal for breakfast or do you try to avoid it too? #breakfast #nostr #proofofsteak #nutritionheals #carnivore #meatbased #animalbased image

Today, for the first time in a long time, I felt peace in the kitchen. I was prepping for family dinner, music in my ears, letting the lyrics wash over me the way they always do. Music has always been my safe place. It calms my anxiety and reminds me that I am still me. As I stood there chopping, I felt something I had not felt in years. The same peace and satisfaction I used to have when I loved being in the kitchen. I remembered how much joy it once gave me. I remembered trying to start a blog and an Instagram to share it all. But when it did not grow, and when I became a new mom, life shifted. That was ten years ago. Postpartum depression crept in. Insecurity became louder than my love for cooking. I stepped away, and the kitchen was never the same. Over the years, I have circled back in small ways. About a year and a half ago, I went carnivore and started sharing pieces of that journey. Now, with three kids, my meals are simple. Most days the joy feels buried, but every so often, I catch a glimpse of it again. And today was one of those moments. If I am honest, I feel sadness when I think about how often I let insecurity win. For 42 years, that voice in my head has whispered that I am not good enough. And every time I swore I would not listen, comparison found its way back in. Social media only made it worse. Maybe you have felt that too. Living with ADHD has added its own layer of struggle. My brain is always racing. I start and stop. I move forward and pull back. I get caught in cycles of doubt. It is exhausting, and it makes it easy to give up on the things I love. But today reminded me that peace can still be found, even if only for a second. And in that second, I remembered how much I love the kitchen. It is easy to quit. It is easy to compare yourself to others. It is easy to give up on the things that bring you joy. But believing in yourself when no one else can, and choosing to keep going when everything feels uphill, that is the hard part. And nothing meaningful ever comes without it. So if you are feeling lost right now, know you are not alone. Today, I felt that too. But I also felt peace, and I am holding on to it. What is something you once loved that you want to bring back into your life?

I know some of you are no longer on Instagram so I figured I would share some of my recipes over here: Being carnivore doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy food and feel deprived. If you’re like me and love food but know eating carnivore has helped heal you, get a little creative with your recipes! This is definitely one of my favorites. Save this recipe! Ingredients: - 1 cup of cottage cheese (I use large curd) - 2 eggs - 2 tbs egg white powder - 1 tbs grass-fed unflavored gelatin - Grass-fed butter - Raw honey (optional) Directions: 1. Mix cottage cheese, eggs, egg white powder and gelatin in a bowl. 2. On medium heat, melt butter on a griddle. 3. Use an ice cream scoop to add the mixture to the pan, keeping space between pancakes. 4. Let heat and brown slightly before flipping. Pancakes can be delicate, so sometimes I use two spatulas (wooden and silicone). 5. Once flipped, let sit for an additional 3-4 minutes or until browned. 6. Repeat steps 2-5 until all pancakes are cooked. Note: Plastic utensils for cooking can release harmful chemicals into your food when exposed to high heat, posing potential health risks, so we try not to use them. Makes about 6-8 pancakes. I often double the recipe to have extra pancakes for the next day (about 12). Add more butter and raw honey on top! (Honey isn’t considered carnivore, but it is animal-based). #animalbaseddiet #animalbased #ketorecipe #carnivorerecipes #animalbasedrecipes #lowcarbrecipe #nutritionheals #agirlskitchen #meatbased #carnivorediet

#GM Breakfast is the easiest meal in our house. Most mornings it’s eggs cooked in butter and some fruit on the side. Simple quick and everyone is happy. I used to overcomplicate mornings but keeping it the same has made life easier. What’s your go to breakfast? #breakfastideas #carnivore #animalbased #meatbased

For years I lived with depression and no matter what I tried I couldn’t get out of it. I knew it wasn’t normal but I felt stuck in that place. What surprised me was how much shifting to carnivore helped lift that heaviness. It didn’t fix everything overnight but it gave me hope again. Food can change so much more than just your body it can change your mind too. #GM #coffeechat (a photo of my coffee just because it’s been a while 🙃). #carnivore #meatbased #animalbased #nostr #proofofsteak image

Everyone talks about how amazing carnivore is but no one tells you what it’s like when it gets hard. In this episode, I’m sharing what I wish someone told me when I started: the truth about detox, cravings, why you might feel worse before better, and how to stop comparing your journey to someone else’s. If you're in the middle of it and wondering if it’s even working… this is for you. New podcast episode is out! Click here to watch ➡️ #podcast #gm #carnivore #meatbased #truetalk #asknostr

“Wait… you eat mostly meat and do yoga?” Yup. And I meditate too. 🧘‍♀️ There’s this common belief that yogis and people who meditate are always vegan, vegetarian, or at least plant-heavy eaters. Lots of green smoothies, tofu, and chickpeas. But here I am—meat-based (mostly carnivore), deeply connected to my body, and completely in love with yoga and meditation. Turns out, you don’t have to follow the plant-based script to be grounded, mindful, and in tune with yourself. This is what works for me. Curious—have you ever felt like you don’t “fit the mold” of a lifestyle you love? Let’s talk about it in the comments. #yogi #meatbased #carnivore #asknostr #nostr #plebchain
