GM - Mondays have always been my busiest day. Mondays make me anxious. I wonder if something happened to me that I can’t quite pinpoint—something that causes me to wake up feeling this way. It’s official—I’m not exactly a people person. Let me explain: if you see me quiet, it’s usually because I feel uncomfortable. For some reason, being around people, especially other women, just feels unsettling. I’m not sure why. I’ve felt this way for as long as I can remember, maybe because I grew up around my brother and mostly boys. That said, I do have a few close friends who are women, and when I feel comfortable, I really wear my heart on my sleeve and value those friendships deeply. I wish it were easier for me to walk into my kids’ school or a sports event and make friends. But honestly, I often feel a bit out of place. I don’t know… maybe it’s part of my anxiety.
