Has anyone successfully been able to use Lightning to transfer Bitcoin from Coinbase to another LN wallet? #asknostr

If we are unable or unwilling to use Critical Thinking to probe into our own assumptions and conclusions, then we are not using Critical Thinking at all.

Anyone else think that internet services like Ad Bloc, Carbonite and anti-virus software should accept Bitcoin as payment? I would be willing to support them more if they took sats via Lightning...

#asknostr Has anyone built a nostr app that can support the Buy Nothing groups, with gives and asks for stuff we want to give away to neighbors? Given the global reach this might be tough to narrow down the location, but I think it would be a way to draw that market into Nostr. Especially with zaps allowing people to pay for goods and services with Bitcoin.

I bought my computer exactly four years ago. The warranty expired on 7/16/24, according to the email. On that day, my graphics card stopped working properly. I started looking around for new graphics cards until I noticed the warranty reminders. I just called to extend the warranty for another year. Hopefully that will allow them to help. I hate conspiracy theories. But they are so easy to fall into. The idea that the manufacturer would send a signal to my computer on the DAY that the warranty expired so it stops working and I have to give them more money is just a mind trap, but seriously what other explanation do we need? Like everything else, I blame Fiat. We are designing things to fail in order to keep draining money away from people, stealing our time and our energy. Maybe what we need is to start building things to last FOREVER and then paying for them in a medium of exchange that will also last forever. Give me a world where I can count on the things I buy to work. They can take their fiat world and shove it.
