I bought my computer exactly four years ago. The warranty expired on 7/16/24, according to the email. On that day, my graphics card stopped working properly. I started looking around for new graphics cards until I noticed the warranty reminders. I just called to extend the warranty for another year. Hopefully that will allow them to help.
I hate conspiracy theories. But they are so easy to fall into. The idea that the manufacturer would send a signal to my computer on the DAY that the warranty expired so it stops working and I have to give them more money is just a mind trap, but seriously what other explanation do we need?
Like everything else, I blame Fiat. We are designing things to fail in order to keep draining money away from people, stealing our time and our energy. Maybe what we need is to start building things to last FOREVER and then paying for them in a medium of exchange that will also last forever. Give me a world where I can count on the things I buy to work. They can take their fiat world and shove it.
I posted a link to the St. Louis Federal Reserve, showing how the Prime rate had changed between 1955 and 2024. And they thought this was an adult sexual solicitation?!
