If you like minimalistic Linux and tiling window managers without painful setup you should give omarchy a try 🤙

Building https://npub.cash 🥜 Working on awesome nostr, cashu and Lightning stuff 💜⚡️
I hope for this to become the easiest way to build a Cashu wallet in any typescript environment

Yes this is indeed an issue. With an npub being a static identifier we should make sure it carries as little personal information as possible. The social graph can be a dead giveaway for tracking and personalisation software.
Imagine relays returning your feed but every 10th note is an injected ad that was selected based on your social graph lmao

This is so insanely cool 😎

I wrote 2,000 lines of state management and architecture today. And I still don't know if things will work out at the end... Wish me luck 💜
Got some quail eggs from my neighbour. LFG

Hats of to all Cashu wallet devs!
Working on the stateless wallet library Cashu-ts for a while now I didn’t even know how hard the state management can be…
Bitcoin is not about getting rich, it’s about building a better future for the ones that come after us 💜

Mood rn

I hate everything about this...

The refactoring of the mint screens is coming along nicely. Can you guess which wallet this is?
Couldn’t be more proud 🥲

Know Your Mint (a term coined by the design wizard @erik) helps us make mint selection easier.
When adding a new mint, this wallet displays mints recommended on nostr and combines this data with statistics from the mint auditor using the cashu-kym library.
Here is a sneak peak demo of a project I started during the btc++ 2h hackathon: PeanutPal — a serverless, accountless POS system powered by Cashu and Nostr!
PeanutPal is a browser-first Lightning Point of Sale. No sign-ups, no setup.
Thanks to Cashu the money is stored in your browser on your device. With Nostr under the hood, any phone can instantly become a remote POS, generating invoices on behalf of the main device, sending the sats over. And it works even if the main device is offline.
Please note that PeanutPal is nowhere near production ready. Please don’t use it yet, or you will risk losing funds!!
Here is a screenshot from a little demo app, showcasing how cashu-kym can be used to display mints to users for easier mint selection flows

cashu-kym v0.4.0 is out.
This TS library handles Cashu mint discovery and provides typed recommendations and mint statistics in a single response.
Version 0.4.0:
- Mint Speed Index (0-100) ranks all Mints by their average swap times.
- More data about recent swaps
- Parallelized requests for better performance
https://www.npmjs.com/package/cashu-kym
HTTP/3 is a beast :o
Parallelized requests and speed indexes are coming to Cashu-kym! What else would you like to see?
New mint sorting algorithm for Cashu-kym 🔥 will be added in v0.4
