I love the idea of democracy, but it doesn't work in an unhealthy society, which can only be brought to a healthy state by a #meritocracy — a political system in which only those who have proven their merit through decades of hard and successful work for society rise to the top. Chinese meritocracy is a steady island of rationality as compared to the turbulent waters of Western pseudo-democracy. The merit-proven way in which people get to the top of the CCP is the opposite of the demagogic way in which people get to the top of Western power structures. The key element of a successful meritocracy is ideology. You can’t lead society to a healthy state without a clear vision of that state. I know only one ideology which is suitable for this purpose — #Marxism. Read this brilliant book by Erich Fromm to understand why.
