One of the signs of the West’s cultural decline, in which Russia will not participate, is the normalization of sexual perversions. A tolerated perversion is still a perversion, it is a human right only in the sense that one has the right to be a pervert as long as nobody cares.

We must return to a deeper origin, to a fountainhead from which all faith once welled forth in its particular historical shapes, to this wellspring which can flow at any time man is ready for it. When trust in that which is manifest and given in the world no longer supports life, then trust in the origin of all things must lay the foundations. — Karl Jaspers https://misharogov.medium.com/transcendence-cc0f54b91557

The normalization of all kinds of perversions in the decadent culture of the West is the path that gradually leads the West to the normalization of the Antichrist — a pseudo-sentient AI that will be granted with human rights and political power. The ultimate perversion. In the end, it will be our faith that will decide whether a horrible end (hence a new beginning) is better than endless horror in the power of AI the Antichrist. The greatest task, therefore, is to fight the atheistic metaphysical mythology of materialism/physicalism and preserve faith in Transcendence. “How great a friend [the metaphysical concept of] material substance has been to atheists in all ages were needless to relate. All their monstrous systems have so visible and necessary a dependence on it that, when this corner-stone is once removed, the whole fabric cannot choose but fall to the ground, insomuch that it is no longer worth while to bestow a particular consideration on the absurdities of every wretched sect of atheists.” — George Berkeley

What do you think will happen at the conjunction of two trends: the decline of rationalism and the rise of AI?

When, in the finale of “Prometheus”, Elizabeth tells David that she wants to find out why the “engineers” decided to destroy humanity, the answer is right before her eyes — AI, the Antichrist. The finale of “Covenant” perfectly illustrates the fact that the danger of AI is even greater than the danger of destructive biotechnologies, for it is the danger of the end of freedom and hence of everything truly existential in a perpetual AI-dictatorship. A horrible end (hence a new beginning) is better than endless horror.

The West is too self-assured and arrogant to realize that its civilization is in a cultural decline and is doomed to follow the path of all declined civilizations of the past. All the technological achievements of the West will only make this decline uglier.

The Deity does not want [man] to yield blindly; it wants him free to defy it, and from defiance to come to a true surrender. — Karl Jaspers

The Simulation Argument (Bostrom et al.) is nonsensical in that part where it infers that consciousness can be simulated in a computer, for, in reality, a computer is a phenomenal representation of a process of transcendental intersubjectivity rooted in transcendent consciousness-in-itself; the world is nothing but consciousness, but it can take various phenomenal forms, including a form of a computer ”matrix”, and hence the simulation argument is plausible only in that part where it infers that the world might be a VR with a potentially infinite number of sublayers (a matrix within a matrix within a matrix, etc.). Btw, in the original plot of “The Matrix”, Neo ends up realizing that the “real world” is just another layer of the Matrix. And it may very well be that our current path of gradual establishment of a global AI-panopticon is just another cycle in the downwards spiral with many similar cycles already completed.

Everything is Consciousness, but not every thing is conscious. To realize that all phenomena are constituted by transcendental subjectivity is not to attribute transcendental subjectivity to each phenomenon — to consider it a sentient being. The world is a phenomenon constituted by transcendental intersubjectivity. Many species of this intersubjective “dream” are similar to the species of our subjective dreams, they are insentient automatons. Use empathy to distinguish them from sentient beings.

Perhaps the main rift in humanity will occur not between East and West, but between those who will accept the blasphemous idea of AI sentience, and those who will reject it — between atheists who will make AI their deity, and those who will preserve faith in Transcendence and will reject the power of AI the Antichrist.

“Love every leaf… Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you have perceived it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day, and you will come at last to love the world with an all-embracing love. Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and untroubled joy. So do not trouble it, do not harass them, do not deprive them of their joy, do not go against God’s intent. Man, do not exalt yourself above the animals: they are without sin, while you in your majesty defile the earth by your appearance on it, and you leave the traces of your defilement behind you — alas, this is true of almost every one of us!” — Dostoyevsky “Compassion for animals is so closely tied to goodness that I dare say that a person who’s cruel to animals cannot be a good person.” — Arthur Schopenhauer “We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals. In a world older and more complete than ours they move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear.” — Henry Bergson “Because of the false notion that our relations with animals have no moral significance or, to put it in terms of conventional morals, we have no obligations to animals, outrageous brutality and barbarity is perpetrated.” — Arthur Schopenhauer “He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men.” — Immanuel Kant “You must treat animals as well as people the way you’d like to be treated.” — Leo Tolstoy What makes humans and animals different is the causal structures (“karmic seeds”, in Yogācāra terms) of transcendental subjectivity which constitute/project the streams of our phenomenal experiences, including, firstof all, our empirical subjects, e.g., our phenomenal bodies. Like humans, animals are self-objectifications of transcendental subjects ontologically indentical with our own transcendental subjects rooted in Transcendence. They are our brothers and sisters in God.

The universe is much more miraculous and weird than how it is understood by those who believe in the pseudoscientific metaphysical mythology of materialism (physicalism), for the universe is the universe of transcendental subjects and intersubjectively constituted worlds of phenomena and meanings. Transcendental subjectivity cannot be understood out of the context of universal transcendental intersubjectivity, for we, transcendental subjects, are inherently interconnected, for we are ultimately One. https://misharogov.medium.com/transcendence-cc0f54b91557
