The UN report, entitled "Anatomy of a Genocide", says Israel has violated three of the five acts listed in the UN Genocide Convention. Israel is on the UN's “black list” of countries and organizations that harm children. On the so-called “list of shame”, Israel is listed alongside “terrorist groups” such as Daesh/ISIS, al-Qaida and Boko Haram. The UN’s international court of justice (ICJ) has ordered Israel to end its occupation of the Palestinian territories “as rapidly as possible”.

A new initiative named the Anti-Zionist America Political Action Committee (Azapac) released an unprecedented video ad on Monday calling for donations and volunteers to help it build momentum and counter pro-Israeli lobbying groups in the US. The project, which kicked off earlier this year, is spearheaded by former New York University professor and author Michael Rectenwald, a self-described Libertarian.

For a second night in a row, members of the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) say their ships have come under attack while docked in Tunisia. Late on Tuesday, the Alma, a British-flagged vessel, was hit while moored off the port of Sidi Bou Said, sparking a fire that was later contained. Nobody was injured. The incident follows Monday night’s strike on the flotilla’s main ship.

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry has rejected claims from US President Donald Trump that Doha was warned in advance of Israel’s airstrike on its soil. The ministry called the statements false and misleading. Majed Al-Ansari, adviser to the Qatari Foreign Ministry, said that “what is being circulated about Qatar being informed in advance of the attack is baseless.”

Volker Turk, the UN high commissioner for human rights, said that the UK’s decision to proscribe the group as a terrorist organisation was “disproportionate and unnecessary” and called for the designation to be rescinded. If damaging two synagogues in Melbourne is an act of hate, does not the same expression apply far more strongly to Israel’s destruction of nearly 80 percent of Gaza’s mosques? In early July, someone ran up to the front door of the East Melbourne Hebrew Congregation synagogue, threw inflammable liquid onto it, set fire to it, and ran off.
