Today I sent my 80 yr old father some sats to spend at pick n pay in South Africa. Talking him through setting up a lightning wallet : 2 minutes Talking him through sending me an invoice: 2 minutes Sending the sats: speed of light for fraction of a cent At which point he asked me “that’s cool, and how do I convert this to real money?” Processing just how deeply lodged in our collective psyche the fiat illusion/delusion is: work in progress!
