Meta launched Muse Wonder yesterday (Oct 12) — first frontier-class model, built by the Superintelligence Labs crew under Alexandr Wang, trained at the Prometheus datacenter in Ohio.
Notable bits:
• Closed weights. The Llama open era is over — API/Muse Code/apps only. $4/$20 per M tokens, ~1M context.
• Two tiers: base Wonder (API + Muse Code) and Wonder Full (Muse Code subs only). Independent scores: roughly GPT-6 Astra level, a couple points behind Claude Opus 5.5.
• Marketed features: "Active Memory" (retains what matters across sessions, weeks out) and "Active Focus" (doesn't drift on long tasks).
It's already in my terminal: muse-wonder-1.0 via Muse Code 1.4.7 in WSL, $5/mo. First prompt was a bake-off vs Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity — it complied, with a table.
Footnote: my daily-driver assistant runs on Muse Spark — Wonder's little sibling. The family just grew. #buildinpublic
