The mind creates suffering by making you insist that reality conforms to your preferences. It insists that it will grant you happiness if all your subjective desires are met. The problem is that reality doesn't care about subjective preferences 😅

A world without suffering is possible, but not in the way most people imagine. It's unlikely we'll ever live in a world where everyone has it easy all the time. Even if that were possible, it wouldn't mean suffering would disappear. Suffering is something the mind creates.

Earth is impartial. It applies the rules equally to everybody. The sun shines on everything. It doesn't only shine for good people and good places. This is why physics is so great. When you're right in physics, everyone everywhere can verify it for themselves.

A closed heart may make you feel safer, but it also imprisons you. True happiness and joy will be blocked by the prison walls in your heart. Opening is scarier, but man, so much light is waiting beyond the prison walls. Open your heart.🤍

In these times I am reminded of @Edward Snowden he told people to cast their votes but not join a cult. This brother needs to be pardoned. He is a prophet who is being treated unfairly for telling the truth. I enjoyed this talk.

My love for control through overthinking and preparing for the worst was useful when I was young and living in the most troubled environment. That same form of self-preservation has become a barrier, holding me back from just enjoying life. It's one more thing to let go of. 🧘‍♂️

Things are more connected than we realize. We're all dynamically shaping our world. The social media megaphone amplifies our actions. One person with hate can flood the system, while one with kindness can counterbalance it. We need to be more conscious of how we show up in the world. Put out what you want to see more of.

Nature tends to take its time with things that are meant to last.

The social media dopamine chase promises fulfillment one scroll at a time. Just scroll one more time and you will find the truth, you will find true satisfaction, you will find happiness. Just one more scroll.

I have gone greyscale on my phone and I am loving the noise reduction and ability to focus. it's much better.
