Exchanging value with another person should be an act between those two people. Nothing more. Without a third party recording who you are, where you're from, and what you do with your money. On Mostro 🧌 that information doesn't exist because the protocol doesn't need it. Every trade uses different keys. Communications travel encrypted through Nostr. Nodes have no access to personal data. What isn't needed for the trade simply doesn't exist ⚡

When you make a trade on Mostro 🧌, you're not trusting a company. You're trusting another person, with the protocol as the guarantee. Sats stay in the seller's wallet through a hold invoice. When the seller confirms they received the fiat payment, the sats are transferred to the buyer ⚡ The code defines the rules. Nobody can change them mid-trade. Trust is between people. The protocol is the referee.

Two questions about Mostro nodes 🧌 ❓ Is there only one node or are there several? There are several. Mostro is the protocol and each node is an independent implementation. Anyone can run their own, with their own fees, currencies and rules. If one node stops working, the others remain available ⚡ ❓ Why do several nodes exist instead of just one? Because decentralization is what makes the system resistant to censorship. With multiple nodes operated by different people in different jurisdictions, there is no single point of failure. It also creates competition: better fees, better service, more options for users.

What happens if you want to cancel a trade on Mostro 🧌 before it's done? There's cooperative cancellation. If both parties agree to exit, the trade is cancelled cleanly. Sats return to the seller. Nobody loses anything. For it to work, both sides have to confirm. One party can't cancel unilaterally without consequences. That mechanism protects both sides of the trade ⚡
