GM Wednesday. A Mexican saying: "No hay mal que dure cien años... ni cuerpo que lo resista" (there's no hundred year illness, nor human body that could hold it), but also there's another one, "enfermo que come y mea, que el diablo se lo crea" (if a sick person eats and piss, only the devil gets his rizz). 🐸 ☕ image

@Sasha next breakfast has to be homemade pan de dia de muertos... @SoupBox halp! We've to achieve a traditional Olmec finish alike if it were made inside a brick oven, though instead it'd be made on a gas stove. image Notice the difference between traditional and modern, the last new ones are more sweet and funky... those are for another breakfast 🙏 image deadline tomorrow-ish 😮‍💨

Hosting and showing some Mexican places to @Le Pleb Royale - SF image A visit from Europe. Despite him being of a kind soul, I see better now that places' points of view from outsiders help complement the views from those in the inside; in other words, Mexico is better because of him visiting 🎉

image Detail from the Papyrus of Hunefer (c. 1275 BC) depicts the jackal-headed Anubis weighing a heart against the feather of truth on the scale of Maat, while ibis-headed Thoth records the result. Having a heart equal to the weight of the feather allows passage to the afterlife, whereas an imbalance results in a meal for Ammit, the chimera of crocodile, lion, and hippopotamus.
