Here is a sketch of a new idea for the Satoshis symbol. If we associate the upper case B with Bitcoins, why not associate the lower case b with Satoshis? The symbol for sats doesn’t need to be based on the letter s. Consider how the dollar symbol isn’t at all associated with the letter d. A lower case b with a line makes sense with the existing ₿ Bitcoin symbol and is easy to read and write. image
