In reality, the government never did truly shutdown, there were just vulnerable federal employees who didn't get paid for a while. Trump and Congress and the Supreme Court were still meeting and working and getting paid. I'd love to see a REAL government shutdown where there's no federal government activity! Why should flights all over the country have been affected? To me that shows that too much is the under the control of the federal government. It's an over-centralization and is a major central point of failure. The US #GovtIsTheProblem

I wonder if all those Roman Catholics on the Supreme Court might take marriage back from federal government meddling and put it back in the hands of the state governments? But it doesn't even belong in state governments' hands because marriage is not a government issue. It should be back exclusively in the hands of the church, in my opinion. And, while I'm not a Roman Catholic, I believe they get it right by not permitting divorce.
