I just saw my first furry French bulldog. I didn't know those were a thing. And the owner told me he was a purebred, not a mix. #TodayILearned #TIL
The U.S. federal government is now using general, non-specific warrants to commit search and seizure on anyone. The Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was written to prohibit this. When the British did this to the American colonists, it was one of the principal reasons for the American Revolution... The US #GovtIsTheProblem
Entertaining debate! About 12 minutes before the end @npub1gdu7w6l6w65qhrdeaf6eyywepwe7v7ezqtugsrxy7hl7ypjsvxksd76nak says there is a price at which Bitcoin becomes larger than all of the other money (gold, etc.) Does anyone know what that price is?

Very interesting episode! I'm going to have to listen to this again. So many rabbit holes to go down 🕳 👀 It all sounds like kooky stuff, but the guy doesn't sound like a kook. I'm not sure why it got so abruptly cut off at the end when they mentioned the 30,000 Iraqis killed by the United States during the Gulf War... The US #GovtIsTheProblem
Wow, Senate Democrats have put forward some reasonable ideas on immigration enforcement reform: ° The end of roving patrols ° Tightening the rules governing the use of warrants ° Requiring Immigration and Customs Enforcement to coordinate with state and local law enforcement ° Implementing a uniform code of conduct that holds federal law enforcement to the same set of standards that apply to state and local agencies ° Barring the wearing of masks ° Requiring the use of body cameras ° Mandating immigration agents carry proper identification "Even a broken clock..."
> "From time to time, the American people need to be reminded (e.g., Waco and Ruby Ridge) who is the boss. The boss is the U.S. government. The citizenry are the serfs, the servants, the subordinates. The job of the citizenry is to work and produce wealth so that there are alway sufficient tax revenues to support the masters. The job of the federal government is to rule and govern. That sometimes entails ruthlessness and brutality, but that’s just the way it is. Get used to it." --[Jacob G. Hornberger, "The Ruthlessness and Brutality of the U.S. Government"]( The US #GovtIsTheProblem
> "If anyone thinks that the government’s omnipotent power to kill drug-war suspects on the high seas is limited to foreigners, he is living in a world of hyper-naiveté and delusion. With those killings in cold blood on the high seas, the U.S. government, especially the Pentagon, the CIA, and the NSA, are sending a powerful message to the American people: “We are in charge. What we are doing here on the high seas, we can do anywhere and to anyone, including Americans, and there isn’t anything anyone can do to stop us. Get used to it.” --[The Ruthlessness and Brutality of the U.S. Government, by Jacob G. Hornberger]( The US #GovtIsTheProblem
> "I have long maintained that one of the big obstacles libertarians face in the achievement of a genuinely free society is the fact that most Americans honestly believe they are free. When people are convinced they are free, they have no reason to want to join up with us #libertarian s in our effort to establish a genuinely free society. Instead, they simply view #libertarianism as a “weird” philosophy that purports to achieve what we already have — a free society." --[The Ruthlessness and Brutality of the U.S. Government, by Jacob G. Hornberger]( > "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free. --Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Elective Affinities (1809)

image Interesting. I don't think that if I were one of the richest people in the world I would worry about my wealth breaking society. I would probably try to rule the world, so that I can fix it 😄

> "Two weeks ago in Minneapolis, Susan Tincher was arrested for following ICE agents and persistently videotaping them. She was shoved to the snow on her belly and handcuffed behind her back. At an ICE detention facility, her clothes and her wedding ring were removed from her — the latter by a bolt cutter. After five hours of confinement, an ICE supervisor decided to release her. ICE agents returned her destroyed wedding ring but not her clothes, which they told a federal judge had been lost." The US #GovtIsTheProblem

## Board of Piece ## These two notes remind me of how that when we were kids playing Monopoly™ my siblings and I would sometimes do what we called "blockbuster deals" where several parties exchanged with each other at the same time to get the properties they wanted and it massively changed the game. Perhaps this can happen with Trump's "Board of Peace" on a global scale. The Russia-Ukraine war can end and Russia gets a piece of Ukraine. Israel and the US get Gaza. The U.S. gets Greenland. Perhaps China's Xi can jump in and negotiate to get Taiwan without a fight. Other countries could jump in to get what they want. It would certainly be preferable to WW3. I'm not saying it's right, but in our still primitive age of States people still think they have to get a piece of the board, regardless of what the people living there want...
