I think ICE was acting irresponsibly and appear poorly trained.
I also think we should deport dangerous illegals.
Crazy to think that such a middling take is controversial.

in 3-4 years, most software engineering skills will become very atrophied and all new software will go through big tech companies, first.
They'll monetize your ideas, block things threatening to the regime, kill all privacy, and likely more.
Open source AI must advance, quickly. Otherwise, we could be in an awful spot.
Pretty convinced Clawbot is a psyop. Will not be using. Not even to mention the insane security implications.
I think Elon Musk wants to turn us all into the people in Wall-E.
He probably expects us to be that docile too.
Much like we’ve lost the knowledge of how to manufacture things in America, I can’t help but wonder if we’ll be in a similar spot with software in 3-5 years.
Yooo this pod by @Guy Swann was incredible! What a great article!

I am running a self hosted perplexicity (perplexica) with a self hosted LLM and it’s pretty neat.
Is anyone else doing so? What models perform best for this?

I’m feeling WAY better than I did to start this week. Lots of prayer, hard workouts, and sleep and I’m feeling great.
Seeing opportunities everywhere. Much work to do 🫡
It’s actually insane how much software big companies buy. The incentives create a situation where people are rewarded for bringing new solutions, even if it’s not clear what problems they solve.
Every fiat company is in hyper drive trying to gather as much data as they possibly can, as they believe that is the new “moat”.
The thing I’m pondering - how do I build systems that let families own their data 100% while enjoying the benefits of distributed computing?
Best read on AI and impacts on software development I've read in a long time.
TLDR: Expertise still matters
