What is going on with Pokémon cards that is making them such hot commodities? Like obviously, fiat money is the root cause, but who is buying these cards at inflated prices?
The kids in my neighborhood are constantly trying to sell them to other kids, including my son. So I have to deal with this constant deal flow and my son spending money on these cards to do nothing with them.
These kids aren’t even playing the game! It’s just constant buying and selling.

Generally, I like Joe Rogan’s podcast. Generally, I think he means well.
The problem is, he’s a (self admitted) moron who regularly gets duped by “intelligent” people who convince him to believe complete insanity.
Gonna put Omarchy on an old laptop and give it to my 6 year old son.
He will never use Windows under my roof 💪🏻

Scam Altman wants your tax dollars to pay for his AI infrastructure.
Every tech company on the planet right now is trying to figure out how to get the big AI companies to feature their products before others.
Paid results are coming, and they will contort every single query you make to these LLMs.
I think welfare should be community driven only.
Only the people closest to you can tell when you have a real need due to unfortunate circumstances.
Only people who see you in day to day life can accurately judge if you’re abusing the good will of others.
I never liked NYC anyway..
For a long time, I thought it was silly for gambling to be as restricted as it was.
Now, seeing how wide spread the betting is, I am in shock at how quickly it’s turned into absolute degenerate behavior.
I’m still not sure making it illegal is the right answer, but it’s hard to ignore the negative effects.
Something I’ve been thinking about a lot is how incredibly inefficient public school is.
When we enrolled my son, the kindergarten teacher said their academic goals were full letter recognition and count to 100.
My son learned these things in half days, 4 days a week at a private preK.
We asked about moving him up and they pushed back HARD, saying he would still occasionally miss letters. But my son was miserable.
In 4 days of homeschooling, he’s reading/spelling 3 letter words and writing short sentences with minimal help.
Not only will they indoctrinate your kids, they’ll make them stupid and hate learning.
I have a strong feeling this Venezuela has to do with rare earth minerals. Since china is trying to cut us off, have to desperately look elsewhere.
Starting a new fiat job next week.
The C suite I work under used to be work at the Fed. Going to be incredibly interesting 😅
I think the future is less digital, not more.
Social media, internet connected devices, and soon AI brain rot, have caused immense damage to mental health, real life communities, and families.
It’s not to say the tech is bad, I use it every single day. But I’m very conservative in how I use these things, mostly because I’m a highly skeptical person by nature.
But most people can’t handle using it responsibly. I can’t use Facebook, instagram, or twitter myself. Every time I do, I get caught up in doom scrolling or some other sin that measurably impacts my well being.
More and more normies are waking up to this and reducing their exposure. I don’t see people integrating tech even further with AI glasses or the like.
Public school is straight up hostile to parents. We made the mistake of enrolling our son in kindergarten and they’re constantly harassing us about one thing or another.
Today was our first official day of homeschooling and he’s already doing way better.
Power has been out for about 14 hours 🙃
Guess I’ll fire up the generator.
