My neighborhood goes hard af with fireworks for 4th of July. It feels like walking through a war zone by 10pm through 4 am most times. Generally, I like fireworks but the older I get, the more ridiculous it is to me. My neighbor brags to me about how he’s spent $5k on fireworks. A large contingent of neighbors throw a fit when anyone suggests even simple things like a curfew so we can all sleep. I find it incredibly childish. Ok hear me out - AWS services like S3, lambda, container management, and so on, but in a way that you can self host. Make it super easy to deploy self hosted applications with infra as code (terraform). Maybe it’s overcomplicating and something as simple as Start9 is good enough, but maybe not? 🤷
