When a company has their data stolen, the first thing they do is hire external council who’s sole job is to help the company weasel out of as much reporting as possible. If you were informed of a data breach, it’s because they literally couldn’t find a way to avoid telling you. Not getting informed does not mean you weren’t exposed.
The worst part about interviewing for a new job is the period after finishing a round of interviews and waiting to hear back. Had a tech screen that went mostly ok, but I made two really dumb mistakes, so now I’m just replaying those in my mind 😭

It is my opinion that as AI is used to write more and more code, the value of being deeply technical will only go up. There will be a real need for engineers who know their stuff and can solve very complex problems.
