So much of what tech companies pump today is fraud. They bend the truth as much as they possibly can, claim what they've done is breaking new ground, but in reality, it's just marketing. This is all they do now. Fiat world only demands making a splash in the media to earn money, not providing any real value. It's positively everywhere.
I can't stop thinking about Dave Smith's podcast regarding tariffs. Fundamentally, he is correct in his arguments. But, I think there is a massive disconnect between what the principles of Austrian Economics states on trade and the reality we live in. The whole trade deficit thing is indeed silly, but things are massively complicated when including nation states and fiat currencies. Leaving out the politics of those two things leaves this massive gap between idealogy and reality. I'd love to live in a world where trade is truly free, but right now, it is essentially utopian thinking.
One of the hardest parts about working in corporate fiat world is not letting it corrupt your real values, voice, and discernment. So much of what you do has to be forced through so many bullshit filters that the end result is a totally watered down version of yourself. Why do you think they call it “soul sucking”? It’s not because you get to be the real you, that’s for damn sure.
Yakihonne is my iOS client of choice now. Fed up with how buggy Primal is but also, yaki makes it possible to NWC to my self hosted Alby Hub so I have self custody zaps! So, so cool.
Candace Owens and @Ian Carroll having the conversation I’ve been wondering about for a while - if Elon was pretending to be a top ranked gamer in not one but two very difficult games, what else is he pretending to be?? 🤔🤔
@primal - I seriously wish muting worked correctly. If I mute a person, I shouldn’t see them in any of the “trending” timelines nor should I see if someone I follow has reposted one of their notes. What’s the point of the feature when it’s this limited?
My wife just stimulated a really interesting thought for me - how can we preserve family history and tradition for generations using technology? 🤔 Going to try to explore that more.
Any conversation regarding economics that doesn’t acknowledge the currency being used and how that currency functions is an incomplete discussion.
