This is exactly why I believe it’s a huge positive that Trump is suddenly “pro Bitcoin”. It doesn’t so much matter if he actually delivers, but it’s proof of the game theory of Bitcoin. It’s now important enough in an election that politicians feel it’s beneficial to take a position on it.
Bitcoin has only been around for 4 elections now! Imagine what might happen over the next 4 (assuming we have them 😅)

I think people who want to use AI or robots to automate away every “undesirable” task to focus on “what truly matters” are a bit delusional. Work and responsibility are fundamental parts of life and existence. We can be upset about that, resent it, push back against it, but reality doesn’t care. If you automate away everything, you might suddenly find your life means nothing.
Of course, this doesn’t mean a robot that can do laundry or dishes would be bad, but where is the final line? When do we hit the threshold of the machines are doing too much?
I’d argue that part of why modern life is so lacking purpose is because of how much we’ve used tech to replace “undesirable” things. Sometimes, the most mundane things provide the most benefit.
It doesn’t matter if Trump will actually follow through on the right to self custody, no CBDC, or commuting Ross Ulbricht.
The exciting part is the fact that Bitcoiners and freedom lovers are becoming such a significant portion of the voting block that politicians are forced to take a stance. RFK, Vivek, and now Trump. Maybe Biden next? He’s going to have to do something and now he really has to weigh whether being anti bitcoin is a net positive.
THAT is the beauty of the game theory at play.
I moved to Windows 11 earlier this year so I could do some pc gaming. Huge mistake. Currently starting the process of going full Linux for everything.
Gaming was just wasting my time anyway…

I kinda miss the days of Anonymous hacktivism. I started watching Mr Robot again last night and it made me realize how much that influenced me getting into Cybersecurity. Now, it’s all just scammers and ransoms.

I’m finding most people have a quiet discomfort with the direction most things are headed today, but are resigned to just letting it happen.
We must not do this! We must build! 🛠️
The single best “use case” of LLM’s is mass surveillance and manipulation on a scale like we’ve never seen before. A personalized AI agent that sees and hears 100% of what you do and “helps” you throughout the day is the perfect way to control your every thought and action.
Open source may help a little, but think about how much big tech and state actors will want to influence those models. Either by injecting malicious code via supply chain attack, or poisoning the data sets used to train them.
Beyond that, I personally think LLMs are mediocre productivity tools.
I thought this was a great article. The obsession of putting AI into every facet of life, particularly as an all seeing, all knowing personal assistant, is very disturbing to me. Human relationships and experiences will always be unbeaten.

It's a powerful vision of AI as an engine of entitlement, for one thing
