This was my whole undergrad. I even wrote a compiler for scheme in scheme that went all the way to x86. In grad school when I began to use python I was so disappointed I couldn’t do multi line lambdas View quoted note →

Anybody storing Nostr events in a graph format/database? I’m currently thinking along the lines of a semantic graph where links between edges are things like “repliedTo”, “quoted”, etc.

I keep hearing "Bitcoin fixes this" and "Fix the money, fix the world", do you know any articles/books that explain this well? Conversations with friends have been doomer-ish recently and they haven't heard "Bitcoin fixes this"

Having an audio conversation with gpt-4o is surreal. Incredibly smooth.

Anyone know what I need to do to get a purple checkmark on Nostrudel instead of a yellow caution icon? Apparently adding my relays to my nip-05 doesn't work. Is it a domain whitelist thing?

Whoa, you can browse all the notes from a single relay in Nostrudel. Super cool!

Adding that '?' at the end of a Kagi search is magical

@PABLOF7z @Don't Believe The Vibe 🌱🍋🍊 @Yuki Kishimoto if I have questions about nostr_sdk bindings for python, is there a chat / telegram / etc where people hang out? I'm trying to figure out what client.get_events_of() does, specifically what the timeout does. I'd also be willing to contribute to documentation for the python bindings.

I wonder if the infinity of symbolic state spaces like PDDL is bigger than the infinity of learned feature representations, like what you get out of an embedding model. Of course I’m talking about PDDL without floats because that’s obviously equal to or bigger. Whether this is true or not has an impact on the fundamental generalizability of symbolic vs statistical models

Thinking of starting an LLM disappointment support group. Have you been affected by an LLM hallucination recently? Come join us in our journey to recover from the negative effects of LLMs.

If these renaissance artists were alive today, Nostr’s the only network where they could post

Self supervised learning is misleading, should be called algorithmic labeling. It’s not the ML model determining for itself how it should learn. It’s a human coding a general strategy so they don’t have to label the data manually.

Still waiting to hear a legitimate argument against OpenSats funding devs and projects. You are free to build whatever you want. If you find institutions aligned with you, partner with them to help the work go faster. Grants are not contracts. Besides some basic rules to prevent misuse of funds, they are no-strings attached money. You have to propose the idea and the work plan. You sell them your idea and why it aligns with their goals as a non-profit. For everyone who has been against OpenSats funding devs, are those same people saying they disagree with the ideals of OpenSats? Does anyone have any evidence they are not living up their promise? Straight from their website: "We believe that free and open-source software in general, and bitcoin in particular, is essential to the future of the internet and the world. We don't want any one person to have control over funding decisions, so we created a transparent, public-facing, and accountable nine-person board to make all organizational decisions. We rely on donations to fund our operations and the projects we support. Unlike most charities, we don't take a cut from donations to fund ourselves. Consequently, we have to fund our operations separately. If you like what we are doing please consider donating to our Operations Budget.” Abstract arguments about imagined futures where OpenSats leads to control or influence over the network are too far from reality. We are lucky to have an organization like OpenSats this early on. There will be other institutions that try to capture aspects of Nostr later and we will look back with gratefulness at the work OpenSats is doing.
