Is this a worldwide phenomenon? The level of service and motivation of employees in retail is such poop since COVID. Went to Home Depot yesterday…asked an employee for help. All they do is pull out their phone with the app and tell you the isle (which I can do myself), with an attitude being annoyed you asked. This isn’t 100% of people or 100% of my experience, but I would say here in the USA, it is about 88% of the time for me. I refuse to lower my standards and accept this, maybe because I have worked retail in the past?!

They didn’t fear their demise they repackaged it to be enjoyed as video games, tv shows, books, movies. The entire world whole heartily embraced the apocalypse and sprinted towards it with gleeful abandonment. Meanwhile your earth was crumbling all around you. You’ve got simultaneous epidemics of obesity and starvation…explain that one. Bees and butterflies start to disappear, the glaciers melt, algae blooms all around you. The coal mine canaries are dropping dead and you won’t take the hint. In every moment, there is a possibility for a better future. But you people won’t believe it! And because you won’t believe, you won’t do what is necessary to make it a reality. So you dwell on this terrible future and you resign yourselves to it. For one reason.
