Pretty sure a deal has already been made between Russia/China/US The Iran thing is actually a civil war and both China and the US are supporting the progressives who want to integrate with the belt and road but also with the US.

I'm starting to think that certain people are trying to make sure bitcoin can't scale so that people are forced to buy paper bitcoin from Wall Street rather than hold it themselves.

Open source models are going to absolutely crush and destroy the locked down walled shitgardens of Gemini, nanobanana, Claude, etc. Ironically, the US is following a closed source model and China has organically adopted an open source mindset for both software and hardware. Combine this with the fact that China can produce energy far more efficiently than the US and it's game over. These closed source and closed minded US based AI companies are going to be a thing of the past in 2027, everyone will be using an open source model trained in China because there's no competition.

I've been to both Taipei and Shenzhen within the last month and noticed an incredible difference between the two when it comes to the way children are treated. Taipei: a palpable disdain for children. Literally signs in shops and cafes saying no children allowed. Friends with a kid had a horrible experience with being humiliated and not allowed into Cafe after Cafe even to get take out. Shenzhen: malls and cafes and restaurants etc that I walked past were geared towards families with children, even providing little play areas out the front where they can learn how to make whatever food is being served.

I would pay for a competitor to audible that downloads and plays books from torrents and isn't a piece of shit like audible is. Literally all I want is a way to resume a book from where I left off. Audible is unable to deliver on something this simple because they are a retarded company that hires retarded interns pretending to be engineers.
