Typically you have a checking account and a savings account. Savings account is your bitcoin/sats self custodial cold storage wallet. But where is the checking account? Holding sats in a custodial lightning wallet is so old school. Cashu mint/wallet solves this by holding small amount sats as USD tokens which is backed by stable channel. The sats automagically increase/decrease based on BTC price.. I put in $20.82 last week and the value still remains the same..! Use it when you need it as value is stable.. #cashu #wallet image

My Contrarian Take on the Recent Samurai Team Arrest The arrest of the Samurai team should not be viewed as an attack on privacy. I urge you not to rely on any articles published by Coindesk, Forbes, or any other Bitcoin influencer or crypto expert who might be trying to spin their own narrative. Instead, please refer directly to this site: The crux of the article highlights, “While offering Samourai as a ‘privacy’ service, the defendants were aware that it was a safe haven for criminals to engage in large-scale money laundering and sanctions evasion. Indeed, as the defendants intended and clearly understood, a substantial portion of the funds processed by Samourai were criminal proceeds, funneled through Samourai for the purpose of concealment.” Therefore, it is the responsibility of law enforcement to demonstrate that the team was aware of the criminal activities, including large scale money laundering, yet failed to report them. Failing to report known criminal activity is an offense, as illustrated by the case of Charlie Sherem, a prominent Bitcoiner and CEO of BitInstant, who was jailed for knowing about illicit activities and not taking action to report or prevent them. The team did not simply create a piece of software and share it on GitHub, as Satoshi and the creators of other Bitcoin wallets like Electrum and Blue Wallet have done. Instead, they actively marketed it as a mixing service, earned millions of dollars in profit, and if these actions are proven by the prosecution, they rightfully deserve to face legal consequences. It's noteworthy that personalities like Michael Saylor and Jack have refrained from commenting on this matter, a stance affirmed by a tweet from Samson Mow. Equating this issue to an attack on “privacy” and suggesting that everyone becomes a money transmitter is misleading and obscures the real issue. Furthermore, if you are manufacturing a USB cable that, when plugged into a Visa/Mastercard machine, obscures the user's identity and you advertise this cable as a mixing tool, then you can expect the SDNY to pursue legal action against you. Stay calm, HODL

Bitcoin/Lightning VCs have been full-time 'shit posting' on Twitter and Nostr lately because most of their investments in the last cycle have not yet produced an exit....! Another point to note is that most of these companies have created hosted/custodial solutions that are caught between regulators and privacy-focused users...! Here are some of the list of Bitcoin Lightning companies raised in the last season...! Any idea when these companies will reach a billion-dollar valuation? Lightning Labs - $70M Strike - $50M Zebedee - $35M Opennode - $20M Impervious.ai April 2022 - $10M+ Galoy - $7M mash.com - $6M zion.fyi - $6M Breez - $4.5M

There are lots of misinformation on social media about EU AMLR regulations. Please ignore the noise. When googling I found top 100 articles writing garbage about this topic. any news website that has a word "coin" in it is a scam...! Be Positive.. When Uber started, you have to go one corner of the airport to meet the driver.. Now almost every airport has a designated spot for Uber pickup. We will get there..! They did not outright ban self-custodial wallets..! which is the good first step... " the AMLR applies only to OEs/service providers and explicitly excludes obligations for providers of hardware and software or providers of self-custody wallets that don’t have access/control over the crypto-assets " We will get there slowly..turning one stone at a time...! We are building more tools everyday.. #lightning, #Nostr #cashu #NWC and lots of other cool tools.. Happy Monday...!

Bisq 2.0 and Robosats 0.6 are the newest version in exchanging bitcoin in a non KYC peer to peer exchange. But both are building their own reputation model and chat interface instead of building on top of Nostr... Why?
